HEAVEN #3902 A Blue Star Becomes Golden Light , August 1, 2011

God said:

How do you stay humble and walk on air? Get used to walking on air. As you get used to walking on air, heights and humility will balance out. When you are in Heaven, you are humble. All the love and beauty humbles you.

Another way to say humble is to say that you are in awe. Yes, being in awe is the same as being humble. You are meant to walk on air. You are meant to fly high. You are meant to soar. You are meant to be blessed and blessed again and to know only blessing. What else, really, is there to know? A blessing is love blown your way, and you drew it to you, and now blessing is yours. Blessing becomes you like rosiness on your cheeks.

As you are blessed, it is inevitable that you bless. It is natural. It is natural that you become a blessing. You were born to Earth as a blessing from God. I installed you on Earth. I installed you exactly as I installed the stars in the night sky. The stars are lights I turned on in Heaven, and you are a light that I turned on on Earth. Never is this light turned off. It is always on. This is the Truth. I know you can’t quite conceive it, yet that is how it is. You are bright light that I cast with My hand. You are Eternal Light made by God.

Believe it or not, you are a blue star on Earth. You have valor. You are valorous. You are a blue star who becomes golden light and shines your light mightily. What did you think you were? Do not answer. You have had enough of old thinking.

Let’s look at it another way.

Every time you are inspired, you also receive responsibility. Along with all the blessings you are given comes responsibility. The more you are given, the more you have to give and the more there is for you to give.

Please do not feel responsibility as a yoke you must carry. Responsibility is a blessing. A blessing is like light that you share. How do you not share light?

We are not speaking of responsibility that you assume. We are speaking of what is natural. Natural is easy. It doesn’t even require thought. When you have a boat that crosses the river, while you are at it, you take others across with you. It takes no special effort. It just takes noticing that there are others who also want to cross the river. And if you do have a boat, you have a hand, and you have a heart, and your heart carries others across the river.

When you get up now from wherever you are sitting, you will stand tall. You will walk the Earth from the height of love. You will dance across the Earth. You will be a ballerina of love. You will be an opera star of love who sings to her heart’s content. There will be stars but no divas. You will not need any pumping up. You will already be divine and know your Divinity the way I know your Divinity. You are an imprint of God. I imprinted you with My hand. I gave you My Name and asked you to be true to yourself and, so, true to Me, true to My vision, true to My love, true to My Vastness, true to the world and true to the state of your heart.

What else is there for you to do but to be the Truth that I designated you to be? This is My Will, and it is yours.

HEAVEN #3906 Be God’s Stand-in Today , August 5, 2011

God said:

Hello. Howdy. How are you today? How are you looking at the world today? What are you making of it? You are influencing the world. You are making something of it.

You are making today what it is. I know that sometimes you can only think a day is thrown at you the way a clown receives a pie in his face. You are sure you are innocent of this day and have nothing to do with it. And, yet, somewhere down the line, you contributed to it, or you asked for it or voted for it.
On the other hand, it could have been someone else’s order, and yet you received it.

It is not a question of deserve. You deserve only the very best. Accept a down day the same way as you accept a lucky day. It came to you. It is yours. And now it matters what you do with it. It matters how you treat your day.

If it is a heavy day, you do not have to compound it. The solution is to carry on with as light a step as you possibly can. Even as with a most joyous day, you do not want to be carried away with it. A day is a day. It is only a day. You have had thousands of them, and where are they now?

Where are you, beloved?

Wherever you are, you sit at My doorstep. Enter. Come in. Sit beside Me. All is well.

And life is life, and life is what you make of it. This day will never come again. This is your one chance to get this day right. And what does right mean? It means to tread lightly, and to go on from here. One day leads to another, and each day is like someone passing in a crowd.

Even if today cannot be a day meant for you, it came to you, and so it is your guest, and it is for you to be hospitable. If this is not an auspicious day for you, it is still your day, and it is for you to treat it right.

A day has gone to the trouble to come to you. A day did not come to assail you. It is not always up to the day what it will bring. The day is simply like the postman who brings you the mail. He has so many people all over the world to deliver mail to. Have some consideration for the mailman.

Ask him to sit down a while and take off his shoes and rest. Treat this day as you would wish to be treated. It may not be your best day, and, yet, still, you can be at your best. You do not yet know what your best is. Regardless of the day, be higher today than you were yesterday. You are not yet a rose in full bloom. You are, indeed, a rose.

You may not have had an immediate say in the day that came to you, and yet you are a rose, and you can do as roses do.

You can be an emblem of Me. Why not? Why not speak for Me and do for Me and serve the world on My behalf? Why not be My emissary? Why be at the mercy of the winds of the day when you can be an exponent of God and brighten your life and the lives of others? Why can’t you? Why don’t you? Will you?

Let Me see you reflect the light of the Sun today. Be My stand-in today.

HEAVEN #3909 Have a Good Time Today, August 8, 2011

God said:

Have a good time today. Decide ahead of time that you will. Enough of this trying to figure everything out. Enough of trying to put everything in place. Life in the world does not stay in place. You may think it ought to, yet it doesn't. There is not a second on Earth that is not moving right along.

Have a good time today. Enjoy every microcosm of life today. It is your life to enjoy.

I don't mean that you have to have a rip-roaring time. I mean for you to take pleasure in the day.

Enjoy, enjoy. Enjoy the weather even when it rains. Would you deny the earth rain? Would you really insist only on sunshine? Would you really prefer that there were no hot or cold? Would you really prefer a world without snow or a world without deserts?

Would you not include forests and plains in the world?

You might say you would prefer a world without insects or wild animals or anything that might disturb your sleep.

Would you really want a world of only superlative books? A world of only wisdom? Would you really want a world of sure-fire events, a world predicated on your common sense? Responsibly, would you?

Would you demand your idea of perfection from the outer world? Would you insist on perfection from yourself? Why, dear ones, you would hardly be able to make a move. Better to embrace even folly or your tripping on the carpet. You may wish aspects of yourself to disappear, yet would you really?

Be glad for what you are glad. Be glad you are young or you are old. Be glad with whatever life puts before you. There is something good here. Even in a jungle there is a lot that is good. I will go so far as to say that it is all good. It is good for a jungle to be a jungle.

It is good for you to be a human being on Earth with all your foibles. Foibles have a place in life. Would you really keep them out? Would you eliminate them? Would you make everyone exactly the same in every area?

Where it matters, seen or unseen, everyone is the same. Love your idiosyncrasies. Love them ardently.

Don't try to be like everyone else, and don't try to make everyone else like you. Hands off.

There are many flavors of food and many styles of cooking. Rather than limit yourself, expand.

However, if you tend to be rigid, encourage yourself to be flexible. Do not get so set in your ways. Do not get so set in your thoughts. Do not get old before your time. Or do not get old at all. If something can be one way, it can be another. Keep your heart and mind open. Allow life in. Allow in every drop. Let in opportunity. Make opportunity your handmaiden.

As much as you think you may know, you do not know as much as you think. Rather be a discoverer than one who knows how everything has to be.

I tell you that life is as it is, and I tell you to enjoy, and I tell you to enjoy even your idiosyncrasies, and yet I tell you to expand. If life is ever-expanding, then you too must expand. Enjoy everything about you and keep growing. You are not meant to grow old. You are not meant to be set in your ways. Find a way to grow and so be ever young.

It is good to be who you are, and it is good to be growing. You can have both.

HEAVEN #3913 (fr) As You Pour, So Will You Discover, August 12, 2011

God said:

Speak to Me of love. Leave off searching. Give up. Tell Me how many times you give love, love which is countless, and yet which can be gathered. Speak to Me of love, the indelible love in your heart. Sow it. Sow it bountifully and not even think of reaping.

You are a giver of love and nothing less. You are privileged to be able to give love, even where love seems to be not. Love is not one-way, and yet you are to be concerned only with love from your heart. That is clear, isn't it? Your concern is the love you give out, not what reaches you.

Love yourself enough so that you will give great love for the sake of giving what I ask you to do and what is yours to do for the sake of all. It is gratifying to give, so be glad that you can give. Your name is Giver. A giver carries grace. He delivers grace, and he delivers on My behalf. My behalf is also your behalf. All I have I give to you, and you give it back to Me through varied avenues. How many ways can you send love back to Me and through how many Earth ones can you do it?

In one fell swoop, you can send love to everyone on the planet Earth. You can do it right now. You can send your love out everywhere in one titanic wave of love. An ocean doesn't keep his love to himself. An ocean knows he is for all. An ocean gives his waves, and, so, many ride on him. You could say that those the ocean gives to are the ones who keep him afloat. The ocean gives, and his waves reach to Heaven.

Are you not the ocean? Are you not the water of love sparkling? And do you not lap the shores?

And do you not carry ships across? And do you not fill up the pails with water for the children? Are you not the mud-maker? And do you not let the sun shine on you and sparkle your waves?

Who would not like to be the ocean who gives himself so generously and tirelessly. You never saw an ocean get tired of giving, did you? The ocean, guided by the moon, pulls back on its arrow only to gather more of itself and then to burst forth, itself the shining sea, itself the bounding main, itself churning itself so that all may float on it.

Does the great ocean, any more than any Great One, add numbers up? Does he keep credits and balances? Does he regulate the flow of himself? He is the ocean and he is the roar of it. Surf's up!

The ocean needs only himself and himself to give. The ocean never diminishes himself by giving. He replenishes himself by giving.

Give love generously. Tip well. Be a big spender of love. If you are not feeling love this minute, give it anyway. No longer analyze your love and how you don't feel it enough. Give it, and you will feel it.

Stop thinking about it, and you will have it. You are not meant to place your orders for love. You are meant to fill orders for love.

An ocean does not go dry. Perhaps you are fanning yourself too much. Give this mysterious love away, and you will know it. Get off the lounge chair you are lying in. Change your position.

When you take your money out of your purse, that is when you see it. Spill love out. You will never empty the bucket. As you pour, so will you discover.

HEAVEN #3916 In Good Company, August 15, 2011

God said:

Will you accept Me as God? What if you did? What if you simply gave your allegiance to Me and gave up discomfort and all your questioning? Why must you prove Me and prove yourself? Let Us shake hands and close the deal once and for all. Let Us be One in Our hearts. Join your heart to Mine. Hold My hand forevermore. Let Us be happy that We are One and One for Eternity.

We have never been just on a short ride around the block. We have been on a great journey where length is not measured yet is never-ending. We are the swell of the Ocean Waves. We are One on land or sea. We are One Wonderful Self permeating in waves and waves that celebrate Our Oneness.

We merge as the Ocean merges with the waves, and the waves are never unmerged from the Ocean.

Ah, Oneness, as seen from Earth, is twofold. But, of course, One is One not two.

What did you think life was about?

Never mind the details. We travel Life together, and there is no getting off. We are pledged to One another even though there is no other. Other is only a manner of speech. It is a wording. In Oneness, there is no other. In Truth, there is no other. You can't have other and Oneness. You have Oneness and no other.

You are Oneness. Yes, you, who huffs and puffs in the world. Yes, you, who doesn't really know what you're doing from moment to moment even as there are no moments, only Eternity which is momentless. There is no roller coaster. You may think you're on it, yet you are singularly in My heart. If I am stillness, then you are too. We are as silent as a mountain, and We are as boundless as love, for We are one entwined love. We have grown to love, and Our Oneness loves and loves. Petals of Our love fall to Earth, and Our One Heart rises infinitely.

Nothing exists but Oneness. There is nothing in the whole wide world but Our Love, My love and your love that are One Supreme Love even when there is nothing to be supreme over. We are an ecstasy of Oneness. In stillness, there is a pulse, and We embrace Our Oneness like nothing else, for there is nothing else.

All the ramifications in life that you see are nothing but ramifications of Oneness, so Oneness can look at itself bemusedly. Life is a lot of display. It is merchandizing. It is a still life seeming to move. In the greatest activity, there is stillness. Water starts to boil, and there is bubbling of the still waters, yet water remains water. Even frozen, water is still water. There is a variation called ice, but ice is water. No doubt about that. Frozen water is still water.

No matter appearances, you and I, We are Oneness. I am Oneness. There is you then in that case. You are not separate from Me. Of course, you think you are, but that is only a thought. Thoughts are a dime a dozen. We, on the other hand, are One, One indivisible Love. That is the long and short of it.

That is all that there is. And what a Oneness that is. It is unforgettable, and yet it has been forgotten.

Forgotten, but not lost. Forgotten and yet remembered like a familiar sun or a star twinkling in the distance of which there is none either. No distance, no time in space, Oneness Alone, and, yet, in good company.

HEAVEN #3936 When an Arrow Has Landed in Your Heart, September 4, 2011

God said:

On Earth, it is not that this one is right and that one is wrong. Of course, that's what you think. More often that the other is wrong and you are right. You are both right from individuated point of view. And you are both mistaken. You are not asked to be right. You are not asked to prove your rightness or anyone else's wrongness. You are asked to be gentle with your brothers and sisters. You are meant to be generous with the family of man on Earth. And all are your family.

So long as you take offense, so long as you read attack into another's words, it is unlikely that you can be generous and gentle. You take a military stance. You feel you are protecting your life's space. I once spoke of your being a lady or gentleman in all your interactions. It is not good manners to take offense at what is said around you. I am not asking you to fake good manners. I am asking you to come from a higher place than you may presently come from.

In all actions and reactions, people are revealing themselves. They are not revealing you. When others reveal hostility, they are directing it to themselves. Ultimately, this is how it is. They are trying to get rid of the hostility they carry by putting it on you. By the same token, when you see their swords of anger as directed at you, even as they evidently are pointed at you, then you also are revealing yourself and your own lack of self-love. Words do hurt you. When someone's words hurt you, have you not taken their hot potato as yours? They cannot really pass it on to you. Only as you accept it and take it as your own, can they.

If someone sees you as a bad guy, and you take it to heart, you have some doubts about yourself that another has rubbed you the wrong way, and now you are inflamed at the other. You are the one to take offense into your heart. Who said you had to?

You are right in this: No one has the right to hurt you, on whatever level you are hurt on. And you have no right to take offense, even when offense is meant. Someone who was hurt identified you as the cause of his hurt. And you have done just the same, identified another as the cause of your hurt.

It is not that you are to become thick-skinned. It is that you are not to be thin-skinned. You are not to buy, even for a moment, others' appraisals of you. You are meant to rise above where they would place you. Even when others mean to lay you low, you don't need to accept their lack of faith in themselves and make it your own.

Remember that I am your foundation. Others' perceptions are not. Have you made others' opinions your foundation? Have you made others your steering wheel? Are you not your own free-wheeling person free to accept what you wish to accept and free to not be swayed by what you don't want to be swayed by?

Accept what I tell you and not so much what others may say to you.

The time for hurt and hard feelings is over.

What foolishness it is for you to occupy your heart and mind with hurt and hard feelings. When an arrow has landed in your heart, intentionally or not, pull it out. It is your heart. And your heart is made for love and nothing but love. You can do it. You have to do it. Do it now. Pull out the bits and pieces that may be blocking your love right now.

HEAVEN #3937 You Are the Sun , September 5, 2011

God said:

A caterpillar doesn't resist being transformed into a butterfly, and yet you resist your own transformation. In your case, it is not really so much a transformation as it is removing old layers that have kept you hidden, even from yourself. And so you may resist taking off your old familiar bathrobe and serapes and shawls you have covered yourself with. You can't hide your bright light forever. You have never hidden it from Me.

Why hide that which is the most beautiful of all? Why not be a butterfly?

Your days of being a bumbling caterpillar are over. Now you are going to fly. Bared of the old cloaks, you are going to be as light as air, and you are going to light up the whole world. Think of it, your light going on all over the world. You will be waking everyone up to the bright light they have held back on.

Your light is not dim. Your light is bright. Only you have covered it up. You are a bright candle, so now let your light be seen.

What choice do you have, dear ones? You have the choice to brighten the world or to cast shadows upon it. Take a stand. If you wish to represent Me, then represent Me. Instead of casting shadows of doubt or negativity or whatever, cast out old thoughts that darken life on Earth. Jump out and let your light be seen. You can't hide your light forever. You were born to be king or queen. No longer can you hide in the crowds. Now you come forward and accept your crown. I dub you now the bright light that you always have been. Bright light, stand up. Come forward and accept what you were born for.

From this day forward, you will acknowledge yourself as bright light. You will come out from under the eaves and reveal the light that you are.

If you don't know where to begin, then I will tell you. No more old thinking. When an old thought appears, replace it with a new thought.

If you have previously thought that you are not worth much really, now say that you are worth a great deal.

If you have previously thought that you were not lovable, now say that you are lovable and how much you love yourself.

Negative thinking is old thinking. There has been a preponderance of old thinking on Earth, and that is going to change now. You are going to change it. And you change it by stepping out of the past and putting on a pair of new shoes. They are spanking new shoes, and you can only dance in them, and you can only speak truth in them. In these new shoes, you can only glisten. You can only step out of the old shadow of yourself, for you now recognize your bright light and hide it no longer.

You are a bright star from Heaven who has alit on Earth. Where did you think you came from if not from Heaven? You are still from Heaven. You were Heaven-sent, and now you are rising to Heaven, and you pull the entourage of the world along with you. You are not an idler here on Earth.

You are a proponent for Earth. As you dance on Earth, you lift up the world as you would the hem of a ball gown, and you raise Earth to Heaven so that darkness disappears and only the sun shines on Earth. You are the sun that shines. Do not deceive yourself that you are a cloud. Clouds burst, and you have burst out of cloud-consciousness now into starlight-consciousness, into moon-consciousness, into sun-consciousness.

You are the sun.

HEAVEN #3941 The Garden of Hearts , September 9, 2011

God said:

I pat the seat beside Me. This seat is for you. I have been saving it for you. Come, sit down beside Me. Do as I ask. Gladden My heart. Of course, your heart will be the most gladdened of all. You are invited to the garden of My heart. It is all tilled and waiting for you to come and blossom for all the world to see, for you to see, for you to see how much you mean to Me, and how much you are worth to yourself. See now.

Come, sit beside Me, and bring the world into its new blossoming. Help the world to know its worth. Neglect not the world. The Earth is the only planet you have to live on right now. I am talking about the relative world. This is the only world under your feet at this time, and your influence on this innocent Earth is great. You have a relationship with this manifest world. You are not independent of it, nor is it independent of you. There is something going on between you. Let it be a romance going on between you. Let the Earth be like a blossoming plant you put at the center of your table and love to see. Bless this Earth with your presence.

Why wouldn't you bless the Earth you live on? Bless it now. Bless it later. Bless it. Give the world your blessings. Bless life on Earth. The Earth you live and love on has been good to you. Don't kick it.

Don't despair of it. Bless it. Thank it. If you don't like the way your beloved child combs his hair, comb it differently then. The Earth is as your beloved child and it yearns for your love.

It is not quite possible to separate your life on Earth from the Earth itself. This is the planet you cohabit. Restore it to its original state. Plant seeds of love everywhere. When you nourish one foot of the soil of the Earth, you nourish the whole planet. Your neighborhood rests on this planet and the planet rests on you. Its happiness right now rests on you. Nourish this world with your thoughts.

Nourish it lavishly. Pour your blessings upon it.

Tear down the fences in your heart.

A trodden lot of Earth, dried up and neglected, can become the Garden of Eden. First it becomes the Garden of Eden in your heart, and then it reveals itself in all its glory. Who will plant a new seed first?

Let everyone be first. Be the first to pat the soil and invited beauty to come, just as I pat this seat beside me. As loving as I am to you, be as loving to the Earth and the face it presents to you.

The Earth is more than the sum of its parts, and yet you can nourish the parts. You can extol them.

You can create the beauty you so desire, and you can create the good will you have long been seeking.

You walk the Earth. Let Us walk the Earth together. It is good to plant in fertile soil. And if the soil is presently not fertile, then make it fertile. Make it healthy. Let your feet and hearts bless this Earth you walk on, and so you bless yourself.

Bless the house you live in. Earth is the house you live in. Make it beautiful. Make it beautiful for you, and make it beautiful for all to see. What you are really planting is good fortune. That you serve is your good fortune.

HEAVEN #3944 Where Did You Spring From?, September 12, 2011

God said:

The stars shine down on you, and you look up at the stars. Your eyes follow the stars, and the stars follow you. You and the stars are destined for each other. You are meant for each other. The stars follow you, and you follow the stars. The Magi followed the stars, and the stars led them to a holy birth, holy because the baby blossomed into the man. He was not someone for whom it could be said: "What he could have been." He became what he could have been. He became a bright light that the stars looked upon, and he lighted up the world simply because he was.

And so must you. Attach your heart to the stars and you will wonders perform. You are a wonder. You are here to bless the Earth and all those who cohabit the Earth will you. With every step you take is to bless the Earth your feet walk on. There is a straight line between you and the stars. The stars pull you, and, as though you are harnessed to the stars, you pull them. You look up at the stars, and the stars look at you. They shine on you as you shine on the stars. It is all reciprocal, isn't it? The stars give as good as they get, and you spark the stars.

It is as though you are a drum majorette. At the top of your baton are the stars you whirl, and you whirl the stars fluently. You and the stars have a language of your own. You are both whirling in space, whirling, whirling, as you communicate back and forth. You lead one another. Stars in the sky and stars on Earth, the stars and you.

This is romance. This is romance at its highest. The stars pluck you from Earth. There is a light exchange. And you pluck the stars. With the light bright between you, the Earthly Stars become the Heavenly Stars, and from what vantage is it known which are which when light shines forth so brightly? The stars warm your heart, and the stars twinkle. You do have an infinity with the stars, and yet it is not one way. Not at all. Everything has an influence on everywhere, and you influence the stars. You are as important as the stars. And the stars are not there for nothing.

The stars reflect My light, and you reflect My light. My light is reflected, and you and the stars and the rest of the galaxies reflect Me. There is nothing else to reflect.

And, so, in your reflection, I am reflected on Earth. Whose light is the sun's if not Mine? And whose light is yours if not Mine? My light belongs to all, and you who stand in the threshold of My light, are the sparklers of it.

Shine, o beautiful soul, shine on.

You are the harvest moon as well. And you are the dew that falls, or does it rise up from the center of the Earth to moisten the Earth's coverlet?

Where did you spring from if not from My heart?

And where did the stars spring from if not from My heart?

And where did everything spring from if not from My heart?

And where did you spring from, and where are you going if not to My heart?

Where else is there to go but My heart? What else is there to find but My heart. What are you looking for if not My heart? And My heart dwells in yours, and you dwell in Mine, and so the prince and the princess are united, and the stars blink in joy at the marriage of hearts and stars and all the sundry Creation.

God said:

Nothing is to overtake your peace of mind. Your peace of mind is meant to be inviolate. As it is, you let every Tom, Dick, and Harry overcome your peace. You let every car trouble, computer trouble, any kind of headache you can think of, take over. Are you aware of this? Are you aware that you have been specializing in disturbance?

Of course, you believe that assaults on your peace come from outside you, when it is you who holds the gun. It is you who warns yourself: "Trouble coming. Trouble has arrived. You have a snag in your stocking. Pull out the army of emergency support. Stop this assault even after it has occurred. Worry it to death."

It is as if you barricade yourself from trouble by focusing on it. You chew the bone of contention until you are ragged. Oh, your car won't start, and your car's not starting becomes the takeover of the century. It is one thing that your car doesn't start. It is another that makes it a tragedy and the winner of your peace.

You are the aggravator, not the car. The car is one thing. It is a humble event. It is you who makes it the worst predicament you have ever been in since the last one you exaggerated. Make it the last.

Nothing is to ruffle you. Nothing is to disturb your peace. Your car's breaking down, no matter how huge it seems to you at the moment, is a little trickle in your life. It is not a wound. It is not monumental. Cars break down. Your computer won't start. Your ice cream cone drops. Where is your balance in life? It is not life that gets out of hand. It is you. It is you who makes little things big.

Reduce little things to size. The little things that you make big are little branches. Let them float downstream on the river of life. You are not to carry them on your back.

Be impartial about niggling events. Little events are not meant to be made big events. If peace is the foundation of your life, why do you shake your very foundation?

If peace were a room you live in, you have cluttered your room with an accumulation of socks with holes in them until you may even believe that socks are out to get you. No more throwing socks on your floor, beloveds. No more clutter of what is nothing at all.

Is aggravation more important to you than peace? Do you value aggravation more? It must be that you do, or you would not favor it so. You would not favor it over peace at all. Keep the peace, beloveds. Be vigilant about peace. Lay down your arms. Untense your heart. Declare peace your modus operandi. Declare peace, and never deviate from it. Peace is always at hand. It is always available to you. Choose it. Let go of what is not peace. Choose peace. Peace is rightfully yours.

Aggravation is your own invention. Imagine something else.

Imagine a polar bear lolling in the snow. Be a lumbering polar bear.

Imagine a puppy who plays. Forsake obstacles. Leap over them. Get to the other side.

Be a playful puppy.

Imagine a child of God. That's who you are. Don't be a wraith. Bet on yourself. Bet on life. You are not in a high-stakes' game. You are in a little game. It is not so serious as you have thought.

Be of good cheer. No matter what gets in your way, be of good cheer.

God said:

When you think you have nowhere to turn, turn to Me. When you have a dozen places to turn, still turn to Me. I never want you to go through that which you call suffering. I don't want you to go through suffering of any dimension. When you are going through what you go through, whether big or little, your suffering hurts the same. Why suffer? I am not called the Great Comforter for nothing. Turn to Me. Turn not aside from Me. Do not throw up your hands.

Have recourse in Me. Give Me a chance to ease your heart. Your heart is not meant for aching. Your heart is meant for enjoining and enjoying. Join with Me. Pledge allegiance to Me. Choose Me over suffering any day. Choose Me. Choose Me now.

There is no point to your suffering. It is an indulgence, beloveds. It is self-indulgence. Get up from the bed of nails you have lain down on. Sit up straight. Stand up. Move away from self-torment. You have been throwing hot coals at your feet. You have been slowing yourself down. You have been entrapping yourself in hot tar. You have been burning your heart. You could be loving yourself instead.

Arise. Do somersaults. Leap. Leap out of the past and make way for now. A moment ago is the past. Unfetter yourself from the past of even a moment ago. Do not bang your head against the wall. Move away from futility. Become a resource to yourself. Be a resource to Me.

You can rely on Me. I would also like to rely on you. I would like you to work for Me. Can you give up yourself for a little while, and serve Me with happiness? Your suffering serves no one. Your frustration serves no one. And I ask you to serve Me. Think of Me. Serve yourself some solace.

When attention on an aspect of your life causes you discomfort, unhappiness, hopelessness, despair and so on, note that it is your attention. There are better places to put your attention. Take your attention off what is ailing you. Remove your attention. Climb another step. Look out from a different window. Find another view. Give up despair.

When you don't like a street you walk down, choose another street. If one street is marked Suffering, and another is marked Forget About Yourself for a While, which street do you choose? What avenue of life are you going to stay on? Is it not your choice?

Come to Me. At the very least, come to Me. Open your heart to Me. You have opened your heart wide to woe and trouble. Is it so hard to open your heart to Me? Is it so hard to lay down your troubles and sit with Me? We will have a sip of tea for a while. Not only will you forget your troubles, they will no longer exist. When you are no longer troubled, where are your troubles? They only exist as you say so. This and that may have happened, yet they are not to plague you. You have been plaguing yourself. You have been the trouble-maker. It is you who has sorted events in life and put them in a slot named Trouble. Put troubles aside. Do not claim them. Leave them off your list. Just let them go.

You have Me. Whatever else transpires in the world, you have Me. What can the matter be, for I am with you. I hold your hand and I lead you to Heaven. Don't look back. Look at Me. I am holding you in love. Stay with Me. Wander not from Me. I will keep you on an even keel, for you are My beloved.

How hackers turn YOU into a cyber criminal

For around $3 a day, you can ‘rent’ a swarm of PCs around the world - untraceable ‘slave’ machines which you use to browse illegal sites, send spam or launch cyber attacks.

For just a little more, you can rent thousands.

The PCs, of course, are innocent victims - infected machines under total control of cyber crime gangs.

The machines are used for everything from cyber attacks to blackmail to hosting illegal files, all under the command of gang masters far away.

The only sign their owners might notice is that the adverts they see in their web browser have suddenly changed. Today's malware is built to be invisible.

One of the bitterest ironies of cyber crime is that if you are duped into clicking on a spam email, one of the first things that could happen after illegal software has flooded into your computer, is that you’ll become a spammer yourself.

Once computers are remote-controlled by cyber criminals, they are referred to as ‘zombies’ - and for many criminals, the real value in an infected PC is over the long haul.

Gangs tend to specialise. Some criminals will use software that steal bank account details. Others will compromise a PC, then put it up for auction to other criminals.

But for all of them, the main goal is to stay ‘at the helm’ of the PC they’ve breached.

‘They always make sure they’re invisible,’ says Orla Cox, Security Operations Manager at Symantec Security Response, ‘They want to make sure they stay in your computer.’

‘The hacker just wants control,’ says Norton’s Director of Security Response, Kevin Haley, ‘Once he has control, he can use your machine to send spam, or to mount attacks.’

Several reports have claimed that paedophiles use ‘zombie’ computers to remotely store child pornography, including an Associated Press investigation of dozens of such attacks.

By the time the huge ‘botnets’ - networks of infected PCs controlled by spammers - are deactivated by the authorities, the gangs that control them have had ample warning to move their activities elsewhere.

Botnets are so common that prices can be extremely low. A study found that renting 1,000 machines could be as little as $9 (£6) an hour in 2010 - and this year, prices for renting infected machines are as low as $3 a day, according to researchers from Kaspersky, analysing the TDLL-TDS-4 botnet. Payment is accepted via common credit cards such as MasterCard and Visa.

High-profile ‘DDOS’ - distributed denial of service - attacks used to knock company websites off the internet, rely on the same ‘botnets’ - huge networks of zombie computers, which each send dozens or hundreds of requests to the site under attack.

The confidence of some gangs in their weaponry is such that DDOS attacks are used to blackmail sites such as online bookmakers in the run up to major events - or simply in a hi-tech version of protection rackets.

‘Hello. If you want to continue having your site operational, you must pay us 10 000 rubles monthly,’ said one extortion letter sent out to web masters.

‘Attention! Starting as of now our site will be a subject to a DDoS attack. Your site will remain unavailable until you pay us. The first attack will involve 2,000 bots. If you contact the companies involved in the protection of DDoS-attacks and they begin to block our bots, we will increase the number of bots to 50 000, and the protection of 50 000 bots is very, very expensive.’

Zombie PCs also often become spammers themselves, sending out dozens of infected emails to friends, or even people you don’t know - and building the botnets even further, as their criminal masters fade into the background.

‘A huge amount of malware is still spread through email attachments,’ says Orla Cox. 'Although there’s an increase in high-tech methods such as ‘drive-by downloads’, where infected advertising banners and websites are used to spread malicious software, the ‘traditional’ way of spreading infection via spam is still hugely popular.'

‘The social engineering is becoming cleverer,’ says Cox. ‘You’ll receive a fake package order, fake invoices - but when you click on the attachment, your computer becomes infected.’

Up-to-date protection software and an updated operating system such as Windows will help to defend against such infections before they occur - a much easier way to stay safe than the often-lengthy process of repairing the damage after it occurs.

It’s also worth noting that law enforcement won’t treat you as a criminal if you are a victim of this sort of attack. But the best defence of all is, of course, not being a victim in the first place.

BRUNO TORFS' art and sculpture garden in Marysville has been his sanctuary for fantasy, beauty and humour for 14 years.

On Black Saturday, he fled with 14 paintings from the gallery foyer. When he returned, almost everything was gone.

"Some of the terracotta sculptures survived but the lush greenery, so crucial to the magic here, had all been wiped out,'' he said. ''There wasn't a single leaf left. The look, the smell - it felt like another planet."

What a difference a year makes. Last week, Mr Torfs, 54, said: ''The beauty is returning to the garden, and to Marysville. A lot of people left but there is a core group who remain very optimistic. The place is blooming, there's a new beginning and, if people are adventurous, they can be part of that."

As the inferno bore down on David Nicholls' home in Narbethong, he had seconds to react. He put his wife Nicole and four-year-old son Lachlan in a car and watched them drive away towards his parents in Healesville. When the Country Fire Authority volunteer realised he could not defend the property, he saved just one possession - his wedding album. As he drove away, the back of his vehicle burst into flames. He survived by diving into a drain beneath the Maroondah Highway.

To this day, Mrs Nicholls cannot believe her husband saved the album. "I was really touched," she said. "It was the last thing I would ever have thought to grab. It's not as if it was even sitting by the door. He had to search for it, too."

As the firestorm tore through Kinglake West, Greg Holloway just had time to find a precious photograph of his sister Tracy, who died of cancer in 2007.

Nothing remains of his home but next month Mr Holloway, 39, and wife Jo will begin building a new home. "The area is bouncing back, the spirit of the locals is rising,'' he said. "I feel so lucky to be here. I've been given a second chance and I want to cherish every minute.''

When Irene Passi's son Robert returned to the ruins of her 4-hectare property at Buxton the morning after Black Saturday, he found his mother's beloved pet lamb Tags still smouldering. In the weeks that followed, Ms Passi dubbed Tags her ''little miracle" but six months later he was dead, his lungs unable to recover.

"It was like losing one of the family," Ms Passi said last week from her new home in Healesville as she cradled her new pet wombat David, named after a friend who perished in the fires.
"In the daytime, reality strikes. Destruction is everywhere, people are angry, neighbours argue,'' she said. ''There's a sombre mood that will hang over the community for a long time. It will never be the same because there's too much pain."

Amid rampant gang violence in a Chicago South Side neighborhood, a grandmother has an open door policy.

Roseland resident Diane Latiker, 54, started a nonprofit community with 10 kids in her living room in 2003. The program, Kids Off The Block, has grown to become a successful mentoring site and haven for Chicago's youth, serving 300 kids last year, CNN reports.

Latiker, who has eight kids and 13 grandkids of her own, has been recognized as a CNN Hero. She talks about her work with the young people who count on Kids Off The Block:

"It doesn't matter where they come from, what they've done," Latiker said. "We've had six gangs in my living room at one time...But that was the safe place. And you know what? They respected that."

On any given day, 30 to 50 young people show up at the center for tutoring sessions with teachers and retired educators, job interview training and field trips to museums or the movies.

Last year, Latiker was able to move the program into a building next-door to her house -- but not before making her share of personal sacrifices. She sold the family television for program funds and gave away her dining room set to make room for a computer station.

Maurice Gilchrist, 15, tells CNN how grateful he is to Latiker.

"I was 12 when I got in a gang -- robbing people, stealing. Miss Diane, she just changed my life. I love her for that."

God said:
If you came across people with leprosy frequently, you might say to yourself: “What have I done to attract this?” You might take it personally, hold yourself accountable, karma and so forth, or you might not hold yourself accountable at all but be mightily annoyed that people with leprosy seem to gravitate to you. You see it that you are being given a hard time.

So now, here’s the difference between you and the Great One who helped to heal. He said nor thought any of the above. His thought was: “What can I do to be of service?”

He wasn’t thinking of himself. That meant he didn’t wonder how he might have brought people with this illness to himself nor did he find fault with them for having a disease that made them outcasts in the common world they lived in, nor did he resent them for choosing to come to him. His immediate thought was to be of service to his Heavenly Father through the needs of those before him. He served, and yet he did not take others’ difficulties to himself.

I use the above by way of example.

Now, let Us say that you suffer ill-will too many times from others. Others seem to be offended by you, and a sure result might be that you offend them back. It is like you are innocent and yet you find yourself in the same pickle time after time. The incidents you may come across can be compared to the appearance of people with leprosy. Your common response might me: “How come there are so many people who take offense at me? They shouldn’t behave this way to me. It’s always like this. This isn’t right. What is the matter with these people?”

You may see that somehow the world mistreats you. You recriminate the others for their lack of consideration to you.

There are others who see themselves responsible for the recurrence of situations, and, yet, they are still as helpless as the ones who cannot come to grips with the idea that they somehow contribute to the drama repeated in their lives again and again. These children of Mine may hold themselves guilty of doing something wrong, even when they don’t know what, and even may be an innocent bystander.

In one scenario, one person takes no responsibility, and in the other scenario, one dwells in guilt about it. In both cases, attention goes on themselves.

Better to get away from these scenarios and ask yourself the questions now: “What do I do? How do I respond to this? How can I repair the experience for the benefit of all?”

Let Us say that someone accuses you of being rude to him or unkind in some way, and you see this as an assault on you. Your reaction is anger. You are going to have nothing to do with this person in the future. That did it. He or she wronged you, and that’s the end of your exchange with that person.

That’s the end of that person in your life. You’re finished.

And so you punish the other person, and, in the process, you punish yourself.

In kindness and generosity, you could say to the person who was offended and who, in the process, offended you: “I’m so sorry. I had no idea. I was unaware. I would never want to offend you. I will be more careful in the future. I never want this to happen again.” How would it hurt you to say this?

Or would you rather be the angry victim?

We are talking about your being a true friend, not a happenstance one.

If, for good reason or no reason, you have alienated someone, don’t alienate them further. Make peace.

Better to make a friend than a foe. Better for all. Better for the world.

God said:

The importance of your staying positive cannot be overestimated. It is incumbent upon you to set the sites of the world. Your thoughts produce the world.

Let Us say, for the moment, that you are a manufacturer of bottle caps. As the manufacturer of bottle caps, you know better than to say negative things about bottle caps. You wouldn’t say they aren’t made right. You wouldn’t say that the bottle caps you manufacture are foolish. You wouldn’t say, “Bottle caps. Tut tut.”

And, yet, about the world, you say, “Tut tut.” About the world, you give dire prognoses. About the world, sometimes you throw up your hands. About the world, you may say, “There will always be wars.” You may say, “History repeats itself.” And by your very statements, thought mentally or said aloud, you try to establish that what you say is true. So, when history repeats itself, you can say, “There, I told you so. I could see it. I knew it. I predicted it.” “And I won,” your mind says vacuously.

From now on, please shed light on the world. The world is of Our making, beloveds. It is Our baby. If you do not speak well of Our baby, who is going to?

The world is your infant. How you nourish an infant makes a difference. The world depends upon how you think of it and what you say about it. The world will change according to how you think about it.

There is the age-old topic of nature or nurture. The world which I gave birth to in love also depends upon nurture. The world depends upon your nurture.

Is it not well-known that how you think and speak of a houseplant makes a difference to its growth?

If you want your houseplant to be blooming, you bless it. If you neglect or badmouth your plant, it will wither. You can’t possibly think that the world is less affected than a houseplant you picked up at the super market.

There are truly good things you can say about the world, and you must say them. Say them, or be quiet. Either cheer the world, or be mute, but it is much better to cheer the world.

Without the world, you wouldn’t even have it to find fault with! The world is not be your scapegoat. The world is your opportunity. You have an influence on the state of the world. You cannot fling the world aside for the sake of your own declarations.

The world is a living breathing entity. It is well-meaning. It has no choice but to reflect you. Give it something wonderful to reflect. Be the world’s best cheerleader. Lead the world on to victory.

Consider the world your army, and so you give it its direction. Of course, the world can be an armed solider ready for war. Of course, the world can also be the loving Mother Earth it was designed to be. It is your call. You call the shots. Your thumbs up or your thumbs down make all the difference in the world. You are the designator of the world. You are the propagator of the world. You are the farmer who tills it. And you are the children who pick the fruit from its trees. Upon all of you, the world depends. It takes its cues from you. You are the mother of the world. You are its orchestra leader.

You are its champion. You support the world. Find that which to admire. And so you bolster the world. There is much in the world to love right now. Love it.

God said:

The only thing you need in your life is more love.

You have more love to give, only you don’t really understand this, understand what this means.

You cannot manufacture love, yet you can give it. You can give it to yourself. It would be good for you to love yourself more. Love your Being more. Love your personality as well, and yet know that personality is a fleeting thing, often associated with ego. Concerning your True Being, there is no ego involved. As you love Me, you love your True Being.

Your True Being isn’t concerned with image. Image is concern with ego. Yet if you can love other people’s personalities, why not love your own?

You can keep your personality in place, and yet you can behold it with love.

What a singular thing to be a True Being housed secretly in the human aspects of your given name.

What a parade. What a charade.

Getting back to love, how do you give more even when your heart feels parched? How do you feel more love? Remember it. Remember love. Come back to love. When you feel more love, you will naturally breathe out more love. Is there a greater joy than love? I cannot think of one.

And every day you have occasion for love. Your love does not have to be humongous love. It can be simple toned-down love. It can be awareness of love. What does it feel like to love?

The passageways of your heart are cleared. You send out love without a big to-do. It is an easy-going thing to give out more love.

It is not that you psych yourself up to love. It is that you focus more on love than you focus on the matters you have been focusing on. Worries, for example.

Look, when you want to have more money, it’s unwise to focus on lack of money. When you want to radiate more love, it’s unwise to focus on perceived lack of love. The only thing you truly have to give is love. Acts of love may or may not be backed by the Bank of Love. Acts of love have their merit. An active flowing heart of love merits more. When it comes to love, it doesn’t matter how you box it and wrap it. It matters the love itself.

Love is energy, beloveds. Your True Nature is love. The love I filled your heart with cannot be overlooked forever. Instead of knuckling down to love, just idly paddle love as you would a canoe. If you are making your life a movie of love, you will not make an epic movie of love. It will be a low-key movie. It might even be a silent movie.

Let love be known to you. You do not have to profess love. Be present in love. Sink into the cushions of love. Lean back, recline, know that you are love and that you have love to give. You do want to give love, don’t you?

Give love from your heart. Be telepathic with love. Let your love go everywhere. Let the love in your heart emanate from there. Let love be your password to life. Let love be the path you walk on. Go arm and arm with love. Rather than profess love, allow your God-given love to be. You are not shooting your love out. There is no need for a barrage of love. There is just need for love to flow as naturally as you breathe.

Love is good. You are love. You are good. Love is the epitome of your life. Be a hot-cross bun of love. Be a provider of love on the corner. People will find you there. You don’t need a big sign. Casual encounters with love will do. Easy does it.

God said:

To what are you beholden? Not to obligation. Obligation and responsibility are not the same thing. Joy is your responsibility. Love is your responsibility. Obligation doesn’t seem to carry joy. Obligation is a favor or an exchange. Obligation may be a bartering situation. Obligation is a loosely-written contract.

Such contracts often have repercussions. Obligation isn’t generous. As a matter of fact, obligation stints. Obligation is a miser and does not come from the heart. Obligation is a weight. Duty and obligation are not generous words, and, when enacted, they are not giving acts. Duty and obligation can be considered skinflints.

Responsibility and heart ride together. Duty and obligation are more like grimaces or gritted teeth. May you be spared from those who would serve you from a sense of obligation. Free yourself and others from obligation.

Obligation comes from outside you. It is like a rule you’ve heard. Responsibility comes from inside you, and is, therefore, timely. Responsibility is your decision. It is not imposed upon you. You accept it.

A mother comforts her baby. That is the mother’s joy. And so she gives joy to her baby. The mother may not like being awakened at night, but she wants to nurse her baby more than she wants to sleep.

She is responsible for her baby, and it is a responsibility that, by nature, she accepts. The mother blesses the baby, and the baby blesses the mother. It is not a trade. It is the will of both mother and baby.

Obligation is heavy-handed. Obligation may incur resentment. Obligation is simply not appreciated in the way that responsibility is. Obligation hangs heavily on your shoulders. Responsibility strengthens your shoulders. It makes you stand taller, straighter. Responsibility is not drudgery. Responsibility is an offering to the altar of life. It is not a formality. Obligation is a leech. Responsibility is an honor.

You may be a prisoner of obligation. Obligation is like being in a chain gang. There are fetters around your ankles.

Responsibility has no handcuffs. Responsibility is a free choice you make. You are responsible to yourself. Taking on responsibility is a gift to yourself, and it bears gifts to others. Being responsible is something you want to take care of. It is only a committed heart that reinforces responsibility.

Responsibility is an embrace. Obligation is like a forced march.

There is a fine line between responsibility and obligation. Remember, you are responsible for yourself as well as to another. If you are to treat others as you treat yourself, make sure you treat yourself well. What you may do from a sense of obligation obligates another. When you feel obligated, you may well be obligating another, and then you start measuring and counting what you are owed. You may not want to do this, yet you do it. Give others their freedom, and keep your own freedom of choice intact.

When you obligate another, you deny them their freedom. You may become a dunning debt collector.

Even when you don’t say a word about it, you are moiling over debts due you in your mind. You are adding up figures.

Be not an obligator, nor obligated be. Either way, obligation is not wholesome.

Responsibility on the other hand is wholesome. Responsibility is a lightweight. Obligation is a heavyweight. Responsibility is an opportunity. Obligation is a ball and chain. A sense of obligation has been thrown at you. Responsibility, on the other hand, is like carrying a torch at the Olympics.

Responsibility is a winner who carries the torch and runs with it.

God said:

Give the thoughtful little acts. They mean so much. Visit the lonely, the sick, the poor, and give them occasion to feel better. Sometimes all it takes is a little attention. I will call this survival of the fittest, you being the fittest, beloveds. Survive by giving to others that which is yours to give.

You will find many occasions to bless someone, and so you are blessed. You are blessed twofold. You are blessed by your ability to give, and you are blessing by the deed of giving. Maybe thrice-blessed, blessed again that someone gives you the opportunity to give.

Do not overlook the power of the little things. A word. A glance. A deed.

Remember to give what someone wants more than you want to give something else that you favor to give.

Company may or may not be a gift desired. Sweets may or may not be a gift desired. Give what the receiver desires. Think of what the receiver desires. It could even be a bowl of lemons.

There are occasions where your presumed needs take a back-burner. Not what you want, but what means most to another.

When you are grateful for your own life, express your gratitude in the avenues of others’ lives. This pleases Me very much. Any kindness you give to one of My children, you give to Me. I thank you for your generosity. I thank you for taking care of My children as if they were your own. Of course, that is the case. Every child is yours. Everyone is yours, and therefore everyone is for you to care for.

In your awareness, skip no one. Just as you might total bills, tote up those who value a thought from you and can use it.

Once you had a narrow awareness. Now it has widened. Your awareness widens with your vision.

Soon your vision will be all-encompassing. In passing, you will take care of everyone. You will see out of the corner of your eye. You will see even that which the eye cannot see.

You will look into My eyes, and see through them. You will see all. You will hear all. You will be All.
Responsibility is not worry. Responsibility is awareness. Your reach is long. Your step is long. Your giving does not even feel like giving. It is where you are. And so you carry out every responsibility to the world and to yourself. It is to yourself that every generous act is directed. You skip no one.

It is that your mind and heart encompass all. You are a soldier of mercy who carries everyone to the light. There is no battlefield. You succor everyone. You carry a sword of light that mutes all darkness out in the field. You are the ray of light that eager eyes look to. You light up hearts, and those hearts light up other hearts. You lead the Light Brigade.

In so doing, you put out fires. They are so easy to put out. They never should have been. They submit eagerly at your feet.

And, so, the whole world becomes at your service. You who serve the world are served. Not a day goes by that you are not served. This is true for everyone, only what you are served may not be as you desired. Give more, and desire more. Everything is for you to give, and everything is for you to receive.

As you widen your eyes, you will see all that you have been given. This makes it very easy for you to give, and give you will.

God said:

Heigh ho, a day has begun. The dawn lifts up its eyes and glances into yours. All is well. Heigh ho, a day has begun.

The whole world wakes up to a new day. Even in the skylines of New York City, the dawn, heralded by the rosy sun, has made its appearance. The dawn and the skyline are blessed by the sun. All that shines under the sun is blessed. And all shines under the sun.

Yet the sun has no patent on light. As mighty as the sun is, you have light within you that shines as brightly or even brighter. I think We have to say brighter than the sun. The sun, as enlightened as the sun is, is like a stalwart delivery truck that follows a steady route. The sun has a schedule to follow. It is always prompt.

You, on the other hand, have no limits to your delivery. You have no schedule. Your light is simply meant to stay on. No turning it off. Night or day, you can shine your light, and your light reaches far.

Your light has long fingers, fingers longer than the rosy fingers of the dawn. Your fingers of light have no end. This is the nature of the light that shines from your heart, or your eyes, or your smile, or from the evidence of your life. Plane down a board, hold a child's hand, lift up your eyes, your light pierces the world. Light from you isn't illusory. It is momentous. It is soul-brightening. It is heart-polishing. It needs no batteries. It runs on light that sustains itself. It needs no batteries, no storage, no timer, no winding like a clock, no unwinding.

The light of the sun is solar. Your light is soul light shining out just the way the sun meets the day. You are full of soul. No one is soul-less. Who on Earth would cover up his light? And yet this has occurred. And yet this has even become commonplace, as if the world were no place for light, as if Earth should have its shades pulled, as if there were no sun, no stars, no reflection on lakes and splashes of light entering the windows and makes itself at home indoors.

If My light is momentous, then yours is the same. You have great light within you. Awareness of the light you are is beginning to dawn on you. Simultaneous are the dawning of awareness and the dawning of light. They are reciprocal in any case. They let in the fresh air. Open your heart wide.

Through the windows of your soul, your light will beam across the horizon and enter hearts and nourish hearts. Light will touch their hearts, and the lighted people will not even know where the light came from. They will just know that the light has come. Even from furrowed foreheads, light can come, and light can land, and all on Earth can be light. All can be like light never seen before, like light never quite dancing like this before, like light like a huge chorus line. The dancers' feet never touch the ground. Light travels at the speed of light. Light multiplies itself, and the world is drowned in love. The world swoons in love, and anything but love is knocked out.

This is heigh-ho, the dawn has come. It is not ho-hum. It is heigh-ho, and off We go. We charge across the Universe, light leaping high, light leaving love everywhere to a tune that you have hardly dared dream of and yet is yours to see with, that blinding light of your heart alighted on love and nothing but love.

God said:

Consider responsibility. Remember that you represent Me. You can be real and represent Me. Just remember that you represent Me. Consider how you represent Me.

You can inspire. You can authentically inspire even when you do not feel inspired. You don’t have to let everyone know what you are thinking or feeling at any given moment. Even when you feel like whining, you don’t have to. Who are you to whine? You have other alternatives at your disposal.

What does being a responsible person mean?

Certainly it is not your responsibility to discourage the world. Certainly it is not your responsibility to point out the errors of the world. Who asked you to? Certainly not I!

I never meant you to broadcast the newspaper headlines. I never asked you to speak ill of the world. I never asked you to air its foibles.

Because you feel disappointed is no reason to foster disappointment in the world. It doesn’t take much to be good at fostering disappointment. Be good at something else.

I ask you to go higher, and I mean now, not later, not just for when you feel like it. I ask you to spread light even when you don’t feel like it. Uplift even when you do not feel like it, and you will be uplifted. It is not for you to share the doldrums. If you feel you must be in the doldrums, then at least do not invite others in. What are you trying to prove? Are you trying to prove that you are a victim?

Why on Earth would you want to do that?

Prove that you are a hero instead.

Is it asking too much of you that I ask you, once and for all, to stop complaining?

The time for moaning and groaning is over. It is time to put a stop to it. There has been enough. The end of complaining has come. What was the purpose in complaining anyway?

What kind of accomplishment is complaint anyway?

Anyone can do it. There are probably some who can do it better than you, but why complain at all?

It is an old song. Be tired of it.

What is so revelatory about your disappointment and your disapproval?

What is it that prompts you to carry on with it?

If you have been complaining, stop now. It does not become a child of God to whine. Not at all. It is not necessary. Why would you gripe and gripe again when there are so many other choices before you?

Why would you gripe if only to yourself?

Do you really want to hear about it over and over again?

Is it music to your ears?

Are you really so in love with all the reasons why you are too straightforward to uplift the world?

Your mission in life cannot be to complain. I ask you to let go of pointing out wrongs, personal wrongs or otherwise.

Who wants to hear you moan about the rain or anything?

Be edifying instead. Look, can’t you find something interesting to talk about?

If there is something you have said once, don’t say it again. Well, don’t say it again unless it is far-seeing and opens the hearts of all those who hear you.

Why on Earth would you want to be a heart-closer when you have the opportunity of opening hearts and opening the whole world to itself?

When you can circulate love, why aren’t you?

I ask for your help in enlightening the world. Did you not know that?

If you did not know that, why didn’t you?

And if you know that now, well, then, act on it. This is your responsibility. It is your responsibility to inspire the world. This is what I ask of you. If you have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, then pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

God said:

Hear ye, hear ye. I am speaking to you. There is not a moment when I am not. There are moments when you hear. Will you kindly speak to Me?

Carry Me with you. Talk to Me as you would to a high-priced consultant. Here you have Me at your fingertips, as it were, and may not avail yourself of Our consultancy.

Even if you cannot hear Me in words, you can hear Me in feeling. You feel an urge to go in this direction or that direction. Something urges you forward or something stops you. Could it be I? Could I be at your elbow?

Certainly, there are times when you don't know what direction to take, and, yet, there are more times when you do know, and, yet, a little nudge from ego takes you down a path that does not serve you, or Me or anyone at all, well, except as a warning sign of a path not to go down.

One who steals justifies his stealing, as if stealing were just a slight turn in the world, as if your perceived need warranted it. If you steal in any sense of the word, you have made yourself needy. If you take honor that is not yours, you have stolen. If you take an invention that you did not invent as yours, you have stolen. If you take credit which is not yours, you have done a disservice to yourself.

You walk on hollow land.

Can you imagine that I would advise you to take that which is not yours?

And, once, you have done the deed, do you think I am no longer at your elbow?

I am right with you as ever, nudging you now. I will pick you up. I will embrace you as before.
No longer are you to hide behind any mask. Theft is a mask. Cruelty is a mask. Heartache is a mask.

Cleverness is a mask. Wit is a mask. Take off your masks, and you will find sincerity ready to come forth.

Sincerity is good. Sincere regret beats haughty pride, for regret shows recognition that you have passed a hurdle. Of course, let go of regret quickly. Regret is not a harbor. It is not an inn to stay in, not for even one night. Regret can also be a kind of pride. Pride at regret and pride of virtue are their own stumbling blocks, and are hard to get past. No longer rank yourself, and stop ranking others.

Confide in Me. I am with you now. Tell Me your story, not someone else's. There is no delight in making comparisons.

Come out of the shadows. Put down your defenses. Do you defend yourself from Me?

I know you better than you know yourself. I know in Whose image you are Made. You don't seem to believe it. You refuse to believe it, so inculcated have you been in the mirage of fault. You pick out your faults in a blink of an eye, and, sad as it is, you run away from the Wholeness that you are. Really, would you rather be a broken twig than a whole growing tree?

In Whose image do you want to be made other than in Mine?

And in Whose image would I want to make you other than Mine?

There is not even another image for Me to make you in. I am the only Image there is, and I am way beyond image, and you are greater than image. I am telling you that you are the real thing.

Take off your cloaks and masks, and just be the glory that I made when I made you.

Now one day the two brothers were playing near the well in their garden when Sam fell into the well, and Tikki Tikki Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nikki No Meeno Dom Barako ran to his mother, shouting, "Quick, Sam has fallen into the well. What shall we do?"
"What?" cried the mother, "Sam has fallen into the well? Run and tell father!"
Together they ran to the father and cried, "Quick, Sam has fallen into the well.

What shall we do?"
"Sam has fallen into the well?" cried the father. "Run and tell the gardner!"

Recently, researchers from the University of Kansas were honored for discovering the remarkable cancer-fighting properties of the wild tomatillo (Physalis longifolia). The Discovery of Wild Tomatillo

A scientist by the name of Barbara Timmerman pioneered the exciting research of wild tomatillo. Timmerman—a medicinal chemist and co-director of Kansas University's Native Medicinal Plant Research program—was leading a bio-prospecting project in South America in the 1990s when her professional curiosity led her to a remarkable "accidental" discovery.

Timmerman had originally intended to investigate a medicinal plant native to the region of South America where the bio-prospecting project was located. Ultimately, however, Timmerman had to abandon the research due to the high expense and complex logistics related to travel and other factors.

Instead, Timmerman decided to search for related plant species closer to home. She partnered with another scientist—Kelly Kindscher of the Kansas Biological Survey—and together, the two began scouring the American Midwest.

"Our research led us to Physalis longifolia, which is a fairly common plant throughout the Midwest," says Timmerman. "And from there, we discovered not only the molecule we were seeking, but also the 14 new compounds, most of which have turned out to be even more potent than the original one we were looking for. Discovery is a beautiful thing when it happens like that."

Wild Tomatillo Dissolves Aggressive Tumors in Animal Studies

Dr. Mark Cohen is a surgical oncologist and translational clinician scientist at the Kansas University Medical Center. He collaborated with Timmerman and Kindscher in conducting the lab research that pinpointed the 14 anti-cancer compounds contained in wild tomatillo.

Animal trials have already shown that the compounds (known as withanolides) are capable of both fighting and killing cancer cells. In test mice fed wild tomatillo, aggressive tumors shrank quickly and dramatically. Some of the tumors actually dissolved completely. And none of the mice displayed signs of side effects or toxicity from the treatment.

"We're excited by the preliminary results," says Timmerman. "While our research is still in the early stages, we're optimistic that some of these 14 molecules could lead to new plant-based drugs or dietary supplements."

Availability and Use of Wild Tomatillo

Because this research is in such early stages, it is still challenging to find commercial products containing extracts of wild tomatillo. However, that will likely change soon now that Timmerman's research has been showcased at the prestigious University Research & Entrepreneurship Symposium in Cambridge. The Symposium attracts investors and venture capitalists specifically seeking promising new treatments to support and develop.

A plant native to that particular region turned out to contain anti-cancer compounds, which prompted Timmermann, whose work involves identifying plants with medicinal properties, to search out ways to investigate it further.

 
But because of cost, distance, and other physical and financial barriers, Timmermann was never able to return to South America to perform the necessary analyses and finish her research. So she reportedly joined up with Kelly Kindscher, a senior scientist at theKansas Biological Survey, to look for similar plants in the American Midwest. And much to their surprise, wild tomatillo turned out not only to contain the compound in question, but also to possess even more anti-cancer compounds than the original South American plant.

 
“Our research led us toPhysalis longifolia, which is a fairly common plant throughout the Midwest,” said Timmerman. “And from there, we discovered not only the molecule we were seeking, but also the 14 new compounds, most of which have turned out to be even more potent than the original one we were looking for. Discovery is a beautiful thing when it happens like that.”

Animal trials show wild tomatillo can effectively mitigate, cure cancer
After first identifying wild tomatillo, Timmerman and Kindscher sought the help of Dr. Mark Cohen, a surgical oncologist and translational clinician scientist at the KUMedical Center, to analyze the plant.

The three successfully identified the 14 compounds in question, known aswithanolides, which in animal trials have already been shown to both fight and eradicate cancer cells.

 
According to Dr. Cohen’s laboratory analysis, these 14 compounds target melanomas, thyroid cancer, head and neck squamous cell cancer, breast cancer, glioblastoma brain tumors, esophageal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and certain leukemias. When fed wild tomatillo, test mice with these and other cancers saw their tumors shrink drastically, and in some cases even completely dissolve, without any negative side effects or noticeable toxicity.

 
The breakthrough findings are so significant, in fact, that Timmerman and her team’s work was featured at the recentUniversity Research & Entrepreneurship Symposiumin Cambridge, Massachusetts. “We’re excited by the preliminary results,” added Timmermann. “While our research is still in the early stages, we’re optimistic that some of these 14 molecules could lead to new plant-based drugs or dietary supplements.”

 
Currently, wild tomatillo extracts, powders, and supplements are not widely or commercially available to the public. But as research on wild tomatillo continues to emerge, it is expected that wild tomatillo products might soon hit the market in the form of all-natural, food-based supplements.

A Circle of Kindness Started by a 10 Year Old Girl

I was shopping at my local supermarket., as I normaly have for years. One particular day, I had done about 2 weeks worth of shopping and was headed toward the register to pay for my groceries. After the cashier had scanned my items and I had bagged them up, she stated that the total was $150.

I reached into my back right pocket to grab the money to pay and noticed that there was no money in there. I started to get nervous. I knew my pocket book was in the car and I was sure I had put the money in my back right pocket. I look at cashier with wet eyes and a confused look not knowing what to do. There were people behind me on the line. She told me to speak with the courtesy counter.

I laughed and said, "Really? It's cash, no one would hand that in!"

I said I would be right back and ran to my truck to get out more money to pay my bill, money that was to be used to pay another bill. I ran back inside and handed money to the cashier. She again prompted me to ask the courtesy desk, "You never know..." she said. I laugh and said "okay".

I decided that there was no harm in checking so I walked up to a women behind the counter and said "I have to ask, did anyone turn in cash by any chance?". She asked "How much?". My face then lit up. "$200 in the form of one hundred dollar bills." I replied. She said, "Actually, yes, someone did!".

I was so surprised! "Who? I want to thank them." She points to a young girl about 10 years old and says, "She did."

I walked over to the mom and hugged her. She said, "It wasn't me, it was my daugther". I said "I know, I wanted thank you both, although she found it ... it's becuase of you that I got this back." I was so happy, I was almost in tears.

The next day at work, a person in another department offered me ticeks to the circus. He handed me 5 tickets. Almost instantly that young girls face popped in my head. After work I went back to the supermarket and stopped at the courtesy counter and asked if they had any idea who that women was? She smiled and said, "Yes, actually I do. She is a friend of mine". Oh good, I was so happy. I asked her to do me a favor and pass along these 5 tickets to her and say thank you from me.

She told me that the family of the little girl who found my money don't have very much so they would really appreciate this. She also said that they have 3 children, so five was the prefect number of tickets! "Wow," I thought.

At first, I had I felt a little wierd bringing those tickets to the store but I am SO glad I did!
Lesson: Never think twice about doing someting nice for someone.

While getting ready for school today, my 16-year-old daughter made a point of coming into my room to give me a big hug and kiss.

When I asked her the proverbial question, "What do you want?" she replied, "Nothing momma. You always tell us to have a good day before we leave the house, but I was thinking about who tells you to have a good day and lets you know how much you are loved."

I am so touched by the capacity of love and understanding that comes from my children. My 15-year-old son asked me last night if there was a way for him to get a summer job this year in order to help us pay our bills. Unfortunately, in our area, he must be 16. When telling him "no," he said that was ok because he had a lawn mower and as long as the grass grows, he could help out.

Both of my children depend on me so much because I am a single parent, but just when I think I will not be able to provide for them they come up with ways to help out. I completely understand that I will still have to find a way to pay the bills as I do not want my children taking up the slack. They are children, and have enough to do with school and marching band, and the volunteer work they do with the homeless. But for now the fact that they have stepped up and offered to help without anyone asking touches me.

When my daughter was 2 years old, I remember rushing to get to work, and when I was at the front door, fussing at her to hurry up and come to the door. When she appeared at the door she had a bag that she was holding open. I said, "We don't have time for this." She stopped me and said, "Fill it with love momma." I fell to my knees and hugged her and then kissed her and said "Thank you". From that moment forward she would bring the bag and I would bring the love to the door before we left for school and work.

Today she brought me the love.

Parachute cord (also paracord or 550 cord) is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. Once in the field, paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks. It is now used as a general purpose utility cord by both military personnel and civilians. This versatile cord was even used by astronauts during STS-82, the second Space Shuttle mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.

The braided sheath has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, giving it a relatively smooth texture. The all-nylon construction makes paracord fairly elastic; depending on the application this can be either an asset or a liability.

Despite the historic association of paracord with Airborne units, virtually all US units have access to the cord. It is used in almost any situation where light cordage is needed. Typical uses include attaching equipment to harnesses, as dummy cords to avoid losing small or important items, tying rucksacks to vehicle racks, securing camouflage nets to trees or vehicles, and so forth. When threaded with beads, paracord may be used as a pace counter to estimate ground covered by foot.

The yarns of the core (commonly referred to as "the guts") can also be removed when finer string is needed, for instance as sewing thread to repair gear or fishing line in a survival situation. The nylon sheath is often used alone, the yarn in the core removed, when a thinner or less elastic cord is needed. Ends of the cord are almost always melted and crimped to prevent fraying.

Seattle’s vision of an urban food oasis is going forward. A seven-acre plot of land in the city’s Beacon Hill neighborhood will be planted with hundreds of different kinds of edibles: walnut and chestnut trees; blueberry and raspberry bushes; fruit trees, including apples and pears; exotics like pineapple, yuzu citrus, guava, persimmons, honeyberries, and lingonberries; herbs; and more. All will be available for public plucking to anyone who wanders into the city’s first food forest.
“This is totally innovative, and has never been done before in a public park,” Margarett Harrison, lead landscape architect for the Beacon Food Forest project, tells TakePart. Harrison is working on construction and permit drawings now and expects to break ground this summer.
The concept of a food forest certainly pushes the envelope on urban agriculture and is grounded in the concept of permaculture, which means it will be perennial and self-sustaining, like a forest is in the wild. Not only is this forest Seattle’s first large-scale permaculture project, but it’s also believed to be the first of its kind in the nation.
“The concept means we consider the soils, companion plants, insects, bugs—everything will be mutually beneficial to each other,” says Harrison.
That the plan came together at all is remarkable on its own. What started as a group project for a permaculture design course ended up as a textbook example of community outreach gone right.
“Friends of the Food Forest undertook heroic outreach efforts to secure neighborhood support. The team mailed over 6,000 postcards in five different languages, tabled at events and fairs, and posted fliers,” writes Robert Mellinger for Crosscut.
Neighborhood input was so valued by the organizers, they even used translators to help Chinese residents have a voice in the planning.
So just who gets to harvest all that low-hanging fruit when the time comes?
“Anyone and everyone,” says Harrison. “There was major discussion about it. People worried, ‘What if someone comes and takes all the blueberries?’ That could very well happen, but maybe someone needed those blueberries. We look at it this way—if we have none at the end of blueberry season, then it means we’re successful.”

This computer-simulated image shows gas from a tidally shredded star in a galaxy 2.7 billion light-years away being swallowed up by a black hole. A few months ago, I took the Dr. Bronner’s soap bottle out of the shower with me, dried it off, and started to read…

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably skimmed the bottle from time to time while taking your shower or bath. My challenge is that I was never able to get past the “All-One or None!”

proclamations or the “health-meat-salt-soap-tape” to read more than a few seconds.

This day, on which I clearly had nothing better to do, I thought I’d write a parody article poking fun at all the crazy things written on the label (again, see: “health-meat-salt-soap-tape), but instead I unexpectedly found some incredibly wise teachings.

Now, from all accounts I’ve heard and seen, Dr. Bronner was a very smart and very nutty man (and my article was originally going to highlight his eccentricities), but now after finding myself inspired by the words I’ve read, I’m going to share the 12 life’s lessons I’ve found on this incredibly loquacious soap bottle label written by this modern day sage.

Dr. Bronner’s Lesson #1: Embrace Work Hard and Discipline

“A great teacher, must first, be a self-supporting hardworker be, like Alesen – Baeck – Carnegie – Cousteau – Hammer – Leibman – Paine – Pike – Sanger – Spinoza – Strauss – Szasz – Wilke – Yadin – Zamenhof, or he’ll turn our greatest teaching into spades, to bury our people!”
“All freedom loving children hate the word “Discipline!” Yet, self-discipline is the key to freedom! Without it, even the most brilliant head remains useless, ineffective, small! How basic is self-discipline? Anthropologist, Margaret Mead, found Arctic Timberwolves litter abandoned, the mother probably killed: ‘So, we put the timberwolf pups with out Dachshund mother, since she had only one pup of her own. Makes you wonder just how crazy he really was. Maybe we’re all nuts and he’s the one who had it right.

Let the wisdom of a soap bottle change the way you live your life and teach others just the same. Who knows, you may just end up the “perfect pilot-provider-builder-trainer-teacher-lover-mate.”

Pay-It-Forward Chain Reaction at a Restaurant

My four grown children were all home visiting this weekend so we decided to go out for brunch. The centre of attention was my toddler granddaughter. She had never had pancakes before so we were excited about her trying them.

We always try to make our family meals special so this time we decided to order every kind of pancake they had and asked that they be served on one big family-style platter!

We each took turns digging in and also feeding it to the baby, who loved them. There was a lovely environment at the table and lots of smiles. As I was looking around the table, enjoying this wonderful scene, a gentleman at a nearby table caught my eye.

He was eating his breakfast alone quietly, in the corner. He frequently looked over and smiled as my granddaughter continued to entertain us all. Suddenly, I had a great idea.

I dug out a smile card from the reserve that I always carry with me and snuck up to the waitress. I explained to her that I wanted to pay that man’s bill anonymously and that instead of the bill could she please give him the smile card.

Our leisurely breakfast was still going on after the gentleman had left. The waitress came over and told us that he had passed the smile card on and paid for another table before he left. How great!
Not only that though, the waitress then came back later and told us that the second table had now paid for someone else and passed the smile card on too!

I couldn’t believe it when the waitress came back and told us that the third table had done the same thing.

What was really amazing though, was that by the time we left, half the room had ended up paying for a different table! Isn’t that great?

Gary developed this strange technique by following many of Dr. Roger Callahan’s work with a practice called TFT or Thought Field Therapy.

Usually, we’d watch movies or a football game, but that day he wanted me to watch one of the DVDs where Mr. Criag manages to completely eliminate a man’s fear of water.

As the program started, there was a montage of images of people pressing and tapping their faces and torsos. I looked at Nick wondering if my friend had finally gone too far. He’d always been into self improvement and energy techniques, but this was absurd.

He told me to keep watching.

Reluctantly, I did.

What I saw was amazing…

We both sat in awe as Mr. Craig brought a man – who was obviously deathly afraid of swimming – into a pool using this crazy tapping technique and eventually managed to make him comfortable enough to float around on a few pool noodles.

My perspective on energy techniques completely shifted that day.

Eventually I watched the whole series, interviewed and met other practitioners of EFT like Carol Look and Rick Wilkes, read Donna Eden’s energy medicine books and promised to keep my mind open to possibilities I otherwise might have written off a foolish.

Recently, I was introduced to another type of energy therapy that – before I got into EFT – I would have laughed at, but these days, I’m kind of excited about.

The technique is called Auriculotherapy (aw-rick-cue-lo-therapy) and its roots are planted deeply in Chinese medicine. This is an ancient form of acupressure that has been used for years to help eliminate pain, anxiety (did people have anxiety 5000 years ago in China?), physical aliments and more.

In the 1950’s, a French physicist named Dr. Paul Nogier took the technology and turned it into more of a “western” science by mapping the ear. His findings determined that the ear was similar to the fetus (upside-down) and points on and around the ear corresponded to certain meridian points in the body.

Keep in mind, if I hadn’t found EFT or tapping, I would have scoffed at all of this, but any type of acupressure technique I come across these days, I explore – my thought is that if they work there’s little risk at all – they’re non-invasive, cheap and may have significant returns.

I purchased a book Nick tipped me off to called The Amazing Science of Auriculotherapy to start my research. Basically, wanted I wanted to find out was if there was any truth to the claims that it could “unlock” the body’s own “pharmacy” to relieve pain, reduce high blood pressure, quit smoking permanently, revive low sex drive and effectively treat hundreds of other health problems and diseases.

Pretty big claims, but were they true?

Here’s what I found (and you might be surprised…)

1. Healing through the ear is deeply rooted in Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western Massage practices.
When I look to see the efficacy of any type of therapy, the first thing I ask is how long has it been around?
While the name Auriculotherapy has been around for only about 50-60 years, the manual manipulation of the ear as therapy has been around for thousands more.
You can find roots in Chinese medicine as well as Ayurvedic practices.

Qi Gong masters will sometimes advocate the massaging of the ears as a daily practice as well.
While history may not be able to determine if something is effective or not, generally things that stand the test of time are worth looking into.
2. What about the science?
Unfortunately, there’s little money to made by proving the efficacy of a technique that is free to do and can be done by anyone at home. This makes finding science on most natural techniques very difficult.
What’s promising about the science behind – at least acupuncture and acupressure – is that they have been studied sufficiently to determine that they’re viable and useful tools. In fact, the NIH has approved acupuncture for medical usage, and inside of this approval includes using the technique on the ears and other meridians.
I’m generally hot and cold with scientific research anyway. Sometimes it’s necessary and sometimes it’s not – other times the science is just wrong or interpreted poorly.
So when I look to something like this, I understand that the value of a therapy may not lie in it’s body or research, but what it physically or effectively does for you.
I’ll explain here…
3. If it feels good, something must be happening.
After reading the book, I spent some time practicing pressing some of the target points that have been mapped out originally by Dr. Nogier.
The first thing that struck me was how good it felt to press these points on my ear. This wasn’t just a feel-good-because-I-hope-I-will feeling. I actually felt a physical endorphin reaction in my body.
This chemical release is one of the first indications to me that a protocol like this could actually unlock the body’s ability to heal – since our emotions are so carefully linked to your physical well being.
The only other massage technique that gives me this similar feeling is foot reflexology. If you’ve ever had this type of therapy, you understand how amazing your whole body can feel afterwords.
It’s true that your disease state is directly related to your feeling state.
4. The hunger and cravings point works!
I don’t have many health complaints. I shouldn’t really. I’m young, I’m active, and upbeat.
Some of you may know about my 100% raw food experiments that went haywire, but I can share those again some other time.
As I was looking through the book at all the points (it must list over 50 or more for specific issues) the one that struck me the most was the cravings / hunger suppression point.
I was hungry at the time – I hadn’t eaten in probably 8 hours or so – and I decided to push on the point to see if there was any instant relief. I was doubtful when I did, but very quickly I felt the pangs in my stomach disappear. It seemed that my squeezing was like the equivalent of sliding a dimmer switch. The harder I pressed the less hunger I felt.
After doing this a few times, I was amazed that my hunger and cravings for food had completely gone away. (Which, if you ask Annmarie, is quite an impossible feat, LOL!)
In case you’re wondering, I’ll share this point with you right now…
It’s actually right on the “tragus,” which is the little flap that sticks out in front of your ear canal.

5. Mercury toxicity point?
Every therapy has it’s pluses and minuses. I personally think that Auriculotherapy is a great tool for many issues related to stress, anxiety, pain, cravings, and dealing with the emotions that are associated with disease. I also know that acupressure channels can open up meridians to allow the body to heal, so yes, it’s likely that the healing process can be assisted using this tool (in conjunction with a well thought out treatment plan.)
Where I think the therapy does fall short is at the “mercury detoxification point” and a few others that were mentioned in the book (including Tuberculosis). I’m sure there’s no science behind this particular claim (or a few others), nor would I rely on pressing points on the ear to effectively remove toxic metals from my body.
But like all therapies, you have to know their limitations and by working within those parameters, you can have success.
6. Cost effective, “no harm, no foul,” and high value proposition.
When I take a look at therapies the other thing I like to do, besides looking at its actual effectiveness is compare the cost to value in terms of healing.
Some therapies cost thousands of dollars and can save your life. Others cost pennies and can harm you.
So there’s a value vs. cost vs. potential effectiveness play that goes into what I do for myself and what I don’t.
So for instance when it comes to water filters, you can buy a good reverse osmosis system for a couple hundred dollars and completely clean and filter your water. On the other hand, you can buy a water ionizer for $4000 that doesn’t even remove fluoride.
I’d – every time – recommend that reverse osmosis system because it does more for its value.
When it comes to Auriculotherapy, this is a no-brainer. Why? Because you just need to get a book for $39.95 – your only investment – and take the time to do it yourself. (You don’t even need to buy a book, but it’s best to have a road map!)
There’s no harm in pressing points on your ear and the rewards could be significant for you. What if you could eliminate smoking or other addictions, stop being nervous, eliminate stress, lose weight, control cravings, relieve constipation, headaches, insomnia or more?
In my time working on the American Stock Exchange (very short time, BTW), I learned that you wanted to hedge your trades to limit your financial exposure.
Health is obviously much different than trading “puts” or “calls” of International Paper, but this same concept applies in this way – you want to make sure that you’re measuring the risk vs. reward in any proposition. Does the cost of the treatment yield great results or are there risks involved that could point you toward another treatment that could give you the same results with less financial or health risk?
This is, of course, up to you to to determine based on your own goals, lifestyle disease and whatever other considerations you may have.
7. Find out for yourself…
I don’t want you to rely on me to determine what works or what not. I want you to try things on your own and come to conclusions that work for you.
In terms of Auriculotherapy, I’d suggest getting a copy of this ebook that maps out completely over 50 different points on the ear that can help you heal – or at the very least – release your cravings and hunger pangs like it did for me!
