I looked through the 56 groups and can't derive which groups are teaching groups

Discussions are forums intended for more than one person to discuss a topic. Blog posts are intended as personal blogs but can also be commented on by others. They are similar, but discussions are intended to be more interactive. Namaste
What kind of classes are you looking for? If there is something you can't find, feel free to start a new group that teaches something to members. Love & Light
