Ning becoming subscription based

All,

Unfortunately Ning has decided to move to a subscription based system. On May 4th, all creators must pay for their sites to keep them running. I do not know the pricing for this site to maintained. If it is reasonable, this site will most likely stay. If not, it may not. The attunements on this site have already been posted for free download at http://www.scribd.com/Master%20Qan%20Dek and they are also in my book The Living Light available at http://stores.lulu.com/ccomish

The attunements will not be lost, and are available for those wishing to receive worldwide.

I am however concerned about the connections we have established with each other and the interaction with each other through blogs, forums and groups.

I will make my best effort to maintain this site, if the pricing is reasonable, hopefully out of the funding of the sale of my book or through your donations on the main page.

Thank you for all you do and blessings to all of you who have made this world a better place.

In Loving Service,

Chris

  • This will be happening next month and by July 30th all ning sites will be paid by each creator. I'm leaning towards the $50/month price paid via PayPal since that seems to be easiest for me to maintain the functionality. The site will grow with time and continue to radiate. Thanks for all of your continued support. May the Law of One guide all.

For the convenience of Ning Network owners/creators who may be debating on whether to keep & pay for the new Ning coming, or close down/move elsewhere, I've put together a running list of free social network systems that have most of the same features as Ning, both as a 3rd party system [like Ning], or software [like Dolphin].

This list updates whenever I find anything new:

  • If anybody's opinion is that Ning needs to continue providing free social networking sites, here's a chance to speak up:

  • hi Chris,
yes many ning sites have circulated this piece of news for few days now.
It seems that pricing is unknown but on one of these ning sites I found that it might be 10 dollars a month with
    a limited upload video capacity.

let us know if you move and where,

thank you for sharing all what you have with us
  • in line with alvins comment i have done some digging,

    spruze.com

is very similar to ning, though is a bit slower based on the communities i have visited there.

It would mean a bit of migrating but im happy to lend a hand im sure its a bit of cut and paste and what not
  • ..like the dalai lama, migrate
  • no the ads are ning's
  • hi chris,

without suggesting anything naughty ahem, i assume the ads are yours rather than nings?
