I believe the seven seals are the seven chakras too. Ascension is the breaking of the seven seals through the balancing of the ida and pingala channels to allow a balanced central Kundalini channel (Feminine and Masculine integration- Higher Self merge) to open each chakra from root to crown. Christ within the heart is your Higher Self. The lion is chakras 1-3 (Will), the lamb is chakras 4-6 (Love). When the Lamb is expressed as a Lion (The Will to Love- you become love....love in deeds), the crown chakra (7) opens, eating of the tree of life.
