Choices are expressions. Polarities are expressions- one truth (positive) and one illusion (negative) but all expressions. When you can love evil as little children throwing tantrums you release judgment and enter truth. "I would not know what love was until I saw the absence of love so I could make an informed devoted choice about what I really am."

Standing in the shadow and choosing Love is described as an act of reconciliation. The Shadow: Represents the "Many"—the state of being lost in individual ego, fear, and the illusion of being separate. The Choice: When you choose Love while in that state, you aren’t just "doing a good deed." You are performing a cosmic function: you are the point where the "Many" collapses back into the "One." It turns the human experience into a deliberate homecoming— a conscious decision to return to unity rather than a passive wait for it to happen.
If the Creator (the "One") is truly infinite and all-encompassing, then nothing can exist outside of it. This includes the "absence of love," pain, or the "shadow." Under this logic, the shadow isn’t an error; it is a temporary state of perceived separation. It is the Creator experiencing what it feels like to forget itself.
If you are the Creator, then the "absence of love" (the shadow/tantrum) is also you. By choosing Love while standing in the shadow, you are the Creator reconciling Itself. You are the "One" seeing the "Many" and deciding to return to the "One."
