Whether you choose to meditate for 10, 20 minutes, or and hour - your focus during the whole meditation is on your breathing.
You are taking deep breaths through your mouth without any pause between your in breath and your out breath, just letting your stomach naturally expand at the beginning of the in breath, and your chest naturally expanding as you finish breathing in.....then just letting your breath out naturally.
And without any pause - breathe in again with the same pattern - no pause between the inhalation and the exhalation.
If thoughts come into your mind - do not focus on them. Just let any thoughts come and go as you stay focused on breathing in and out without pause.
And after you have taken about 30 breaths like this - after you exhale hold your breath for a minute or 2. This helps increase the amount of oxygen in your blood, bringing good health benefits.
Then, if you have time - do one or two more breathing cycles like this.
