Life Can Lead to the Slow Strangulation of the Soul

It is the spiritual life which gives the soul power to use temptation and trial. Without it they destroy the soul. How will we escape if we refuse to exercise these functions -- in other words, if we neglect the soul and do not the care for it?

A soul that is left to itsel,f unchecked, uncultivated, unredeemed, will descend  into death by its own nature.  Refinement of life's spiritual side has numerous benefits.  The individual gradually develops essential qualities that lie at the foundation of human happiness and social progress. These qualities include faith, courage, love, compassion, trustworthiness and humility.

"Be not deceived;  God is not mocked: - for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall  of the  flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.". Galatians 6:7-8:

The soul is a crucial part of every human being. It is the very core of who we really are and it is what makes us really human. We are born with a purity that we never get back at any point of our lives, and as we grow older and become hardened to worldly experiences, we lose a little goodness every day.  It takes  enormous energy to keep our souls whole, because every time we fail to listen to our conscience and do the right thing, a little bit of our soul dies.

Let your pagan nature nurture your soul.  All nature-based indigenous religions around the globe share common ideals. I see these celebrating great pagan traditions.

  1. All of Nature is sacred
  2. Walk among the trees.
  3. Soak in water.
  4. Stand on bare earth.
  5.  I am Goddess. and so are you.
  6. We don't just live life. We are life.
  7. Existence counts for something in itself.  … Expand and grow the list!

Feeding and nurturing the spirit is just as important as feeding and nurturing the physical body. -The soul is both temple and prison. In some areas, the soul is a beautiful temple through which the spirit can express itself wholesomely. In others, it is a prison, or an armoured warship for attacking others.
