The intention of this reiki session is to cleanse and heal your Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna nadis, as well as awaken your kundalini energy. Cleansing and healing the Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna nadis means clearing subtle energetic blockages so that life force (prana) can circulate more freely through the energetic body. Ida is traditionally associated with the left side, lunar energy, receptivity, intuition, calmness, and the feminine principle. Pingala is associated with the right side, solar energy, activity, willpower, vitality, and the masculine principle. When Ida and Pingala become balanced, the energetic system is understood to become more harmonious, rather than being dominated by either excessive activity or excessive passivity. Sushumna, the central channel running along the spine in the yogic subtle-body model, is regarded as the pathway through which consciousness and Kundalini energy can ascend. Cleansing the nadis is therefore often described as releasing stagnant emotions, fear, attachments, energetic tension, and patterns that obstruct the natural movement of prana. Healing the nadis ultimately means creating a clear, balanced energetic pathway through which life force, consciousness, and spiritual awareness can flow more freely toward higher states of integration and awakening.
