Greatest Love

© Sherry J. Kreis

I always knew I'd be a mom
since I was just a girl.
And when God blessed me with you four
you each became my world.
He said now take these precious gifts
and show them greatest love.
Because he gave them here to me
from Heaven up above.
He said to teach them what is right
by what you do and say.
And please remember as a mom
to teach them how to pray.
The years go by so fast you know
no matter what we do.
And wherever that your paths may lead
my heart will go with you.
I only hope I served you well
and showed you greatest love.
I hope I taught you how to pray
and thank your God above.
Always remember,
to be your mom
is a blessing everyday.
For to me God sent a precious gift

For My Angel....

© Leigh Johnson

You were very unexpected,
but you're special in my eyes.
Nobody's celebrating,
but My Dear, you are the prize.

People say you were an accident,
but that is so untrue.
You're a gift from high above;
my Angel through, and through.

If I could go back,
I wouldn't change a thing.
I couldn't live without you,
you make my heart sing.

Sometimes I sit and wonder,
.....if you had never been.....
I've been through so much pain,
but I'd do it all again.

Some people said don't keep you,
but I did not agree.
Some people said I'm stupid,
they were blind and could not see.

That you were meant to be here,
and to cherish everyday.
You're my heaven sent,
and you're perfect in every way.

Some people said to give you up,
but that's something I could not do.
You are my Baby Girl,
and I need to be with you.

Ten tiny little fingers,
ten tiny little toes,
one tiny little body,
one tiny little nose!!

You are so small and innocent,
you're perfect all around.
You've got the special baby smell,
you make that baby sound.

Nobody came to party,
only few came to see.
You are not what was desired,
but you are no less dear to me.

A poem that gives sound advice to mother's on how to raise a beautiful daughter, inside and out.

A Daughter Is Born

© Judith A. Drew

Encircle your child with love
Offer your hand to guide her
Shower her with tenderness
Shelter away her fears

May she look for sunshine when
There seems to be clouds
May she take a step further to
Find the best in people and life

May she show kindness and patience

Towards others
May confidence and poise propel
Her in life

Teach her appreciation for small
Things in life
The abundance of nature close at
Her feet
Help her to learn the power of
Words spoken
The response to actions which
Might be awakened

Shower her with your love and
Your pride
Protect her as needed, but let
Her fly free
Free to stand tall with absolute
Dignity

As she grows and discovers
Keep memories keen
For times in the future
When she flies free

Remember too as she grows to
Be a woman
She's a reflection of yourself
A reflection of the joy, kindness,
And dignity
A reflection of a woman set free
To pass down her teachings
From no other than thee.

If I Could Tell You

© Krystal

When I see you in the morning
it brightens up my day
there are so many thoughts on my mind
so many words I want to say

I want to tell you how I feel
but the words I can not find
they're all mixed up with my thoughts
that are running through my mind

I've been keeping it locked up
because I know there's not a chance
you never look my way
you don't even take a glance

You don't even know you're doing this
toying with my heart
I wish I could just tell you
but I don't know where to start

Should I tell you how much you mean to me
or how bad I want to be with you
if I were to say these things
how would you react, what would you do

Would you never talk to me again
would you never look my way
that would just bring me back
to where I am today

Then I'd start all over
and choose a different route
to make you understand
my feelings that want out

I don't know what to do
or even how to say
maybe I should lock it up
and keep myself away

My heart would ache even more
but maybe for the good
I just really want to tell you
only if I could.
