This story is a perfect example of the analogy "It is always darkest before the dawn".
Kseniya Simonova and her husband Igor were struggling financially when Igor suggested she try Sand Animation.
She had grown up doing art with her artist mother and she had never heard of Sand Animation but she decided to give it a try as they were truly struggling to make ends meet.
During the day she would raise their baby boy and at night she perfected her new art. She mastered telling stories with sand as well as drawing her viewers into her sand paintings (emotionally).

Those skills and the performance in this video (titled: World War II) helped her win first place in the TV show – Ukraine’s Got Talent. Happily, Kseniya won enough money for them to buy a house!
She has since been requested to perform all over the world. She has performed for kings, queens and presidents and continues to amaze everyone who views her beautiful stories… in sand *
