Using A Crystal Bal

Hold the ball in your hands for a few moments to charge it up. If you have a particular problem, focus on it and consider possible solutions. Then place the crystal on its stand on a black silk or velvet cloth. Some people like the room to be dim, others have one bright source of light. You may find that candlelight is favorable for reading.
Let yourself relax and focus on your crystal. Do not try to see images, let them form naturally. As your eyes fixate, the ball will go out of focus. It may appear to cloud from within as though a mist is forming in the crystal. Keep your eyes relaxed and watch for symbols or pictures appearing either in the crystal or in your mind's eye. When the mist clears, make detailed notes of what your see, and the impressions your receive. Some of it may seem to be nonsense, like the images you see before going to sleep. If you are patient and persevere, you will come to understand the meaning.
When you are ready to try out your skills on someone else, ask him or her to cup hands around the ball, but not to touch it. After a few minutes the crystal will be attuned to your sitter's energies. Then proceed as usual. Ask for feedback because this is the way you will learn."
Like I said I have never used a crystal ball, but I do know what properties a yellow calcite holds and this is how I use it. Its is a energy amplifier, it facilitates psychic abilities, channeling, astral projection, and higher consciousness. Connects intellect and emotions. Alleviates emotional stress, brings peace and serenity. Memory aid, brings insight. Cleanses organs and bones, strengthens skeleton and joints.Yellow calcite enchances meditation, aids astral projection, focuses concentration. Brings in spiritual light and knowledge.
