It may appear to cloud from within as though a mist is forming in the crystal. Keep your eyes relaxed and watch for symbols or pictures appearing either in the crystal or in your mind's eye. When the mist clears, make detailed notes of what your see, and the impressions your receive. Some of it may seem to be nonsense, like the images you see before going to sleep. If you are patient and persevere, you will come to understand the meaning.
When you are ready to try out your skills on someone else, ask him or her to cup hands around the ball, but not to touch it. After a few minutes the crystal will be attuned to your sitter's energies. Then proceed as usual. Ask for feedback because this is the way you will learn."
