Here is a method of crystal healing used to sever psychic cords based on the origin of their attachment. How one attaches to another being can help the healer to ascertain the true nature of the connection as well as what energy centers are either facilitating the connection or under attack.
Remember, people can create psychic cords on purpose or on accident, just as one can take energy on purpose or accident. If you truly wish to maintain a cord connection with an individual, it can be re-established.
Cutting cords is not a banishing. If you are trying to remove a harmful influence from your life, cutting cords is merely the first step. It keeps the former attachment from harming or draining you henceforth.
