What Ray are you? Based upon the teachings in Joshua David Stone’s book Cosmic Ascension There are 7 basic rays that filter down from the cosmic levels to Earth. Major Rays 1. Ray of Power, Will, Purpose (red color); Type of person: Leader 2. Ray of Love/Wisdom (blue color); Type of person: Teacher/Counselor 3. Ray of Active, Creative Intelligence (yellow color); Type of person: Philosopher, Metaphysician, Abstract Thinker Rays of Attribute 4. Ray of Harmony, Beauty, Art (higher expression)(lower expression is Ray of Harmony through Conflict)(green color); Type of person: Art, Music, Sculpture 5. Ray of Concrete Science or Knowledge (orange color); Type of person: Science or Mathematics 6. Ray of Abstract Idealism or Devotion (indigo blue color); Type of person: Religious 7. Ray of Ceremonial Order, Magic, Ritual (violet color); Type of person: Magic, High priest(ess) Every soul extension (person) who incarnates onto the Earth plane is made up of six rays. Everyone has a separate ray for the monad, soul, personality, mind, emotions, and physical body. The monadic ray and soul ray are basically the same throughout all the person’s incarnations. The rest of the rays can change from lifetime to lifetime (until the incarnation completes the seven levels of initiation). Each incarnated personality is found upon one of these seven rays. Soul extensions with soul rays found upon the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th rays must blend with the first three major rays after they pass the 3rd initiation. However, the monadic ray of every incarnated personality (person) is one of the first three rays. In the un-evolved person, the rays of the physical, emotional, and mental bodies dominate. As the person develops a more self-actualized personality, then the personality ray becomes dominant and the three body rays become subordinated to it. As the person continues to evolve he/she begins to become polarized in the soul. A battle occurs between the personality ray and the soul ray. As the soul ray begins to dominate and win this battle and the disciple begins to gain mastery over the personality, then the personality ray becomes subordinate to the soul ray. The process continues until after the 3rd initiation, the monadic ray begins to pour in. As the disciple learns to become polarized in the monad [or oversoul], the soul ray becomes subordinate to the monadic ray. People who have a 2nd ,4th or 6th ray structure usually tend to be more introverted and spiritually focused. People with 1st, 3rd, 5th or 7th ray structure tend to be more extroverted and focus on form and the concrete world level. When a soul extension is two-thirds along his or her spiritual path, the soul ray begins to govern the personality. It is to the benefit of every aspirant and disciple to come to an understanding of the six rays that make up his or her spiritual constitution. The personality ray finds its major activity in the physical body. The soul ray finds its specific influence in the astral or emotional body. The monadic ray finds its specific influence in the mental body. The personality ray causes the attitude of separateness. The soul ray facilitates the attitude of group consciousness and detachment from the form side of life. The monadic ray can be felt only after the 3rd initiation and brings in the will aspect of the Creator. So let’s review the bodies and initiations to put this in perspective: 1st initiation: integration and cleansing of the physical body 2nd initiation: integration and cleansing of the emotional body 3rd initiation: integration and cleansing of the mental body 4th initiation: integration and cleansing of the spiritual body 5th initiation: integration and cleansing of the personality 6th initiation: integration and cleansing of the entire soul extension (yourself) 7th initiation: integration and cleansing of the 12 soul extensions that make up your one soul 8th initiation: integration and cleansing of the 144 soul extensions that make up your one monad (also called oversoul) 9th initiation: integration and cleansing of the 864 soul extensions that make up your six monads (your monadic group) Let us end this teaching with a quote from Joshua David Stone- “We are not individual consciousness only. This separation is illusion [caused by the negative ego]. We are each a group consciousness and individual identity simultaneously……The two requirements that are in place for you to move onto your cosmic ascension are 1) the requirement of clearing your negative ego and developing your psychological clarity and balance of your bodies [physical body, emotional body, mental body and spiritual body] and 2) universal loving service…..As Jesus would say, “True pleasure is serving God” or Sai Baba would say “Hands that help are holier than lips that pray.”…What a great blessing is it to find a means of service to God and humanity; which are one and the same. Never forget that every person you meet is God visiting you in physical form.”
