you can ask your angels and guides to clear and open the palm chakras. also ask that all channels needed to channel reiki both internal and external be cleared, opendedm healed. then ask that the energy begin to flow through you.

i'd also reccomend asking them for total clearing and healing of all auras chakras bodies, central light connection, silver cord etc.  there's a good book called essential energy balancing 1 by dianne stein that contains such clearing processes but also asking intuitively in your own words is good enough.

you can ask your guides and angles to channel the energy strong enough that you can feel it running through you but at the same time - completely safe.

your intention and a declaration like "I am activating the chokurei(or any other symbol )  symbol", drawing the symbol on your palms and on the area to be treated (Self or other). you can also ask your own higher self of the light and your reiki guides and healer guides of the light to assist you in activating the symbol and the flow of reiki. you can ask for assistance in connecting to reiki and clearing and healing of channels associated with reiki so it can flow easily through you.
