The Gospel Of Matthew (C)

Continuing His fiery sermon

on the Mount of Attainment,

Jesus the Prophet enters into yet another 

Spark of Divine Creativity.

Not seeking to be duplicitous in your worship

of the Holy Presence like those who unsuccessfully

try to be priests of the Most High

without truly being internally prepared for such an exalted position,

approach the Holy Presence that is within you in a Spirit of Humility.

Praying to the Savior that is Love

as if in a secret communion with your Everlasting Father,

make no show of mystical influence

nor of being in possession of something that is

wholly unique to your Collective Soul.

Not wanting to fast or refrain from indulging

in material desires for the sake of trying

to impress others with a certain level

of tolerance to the world in which we live,

fast for your own Collective Purification

from the various diseases of a proud mind.

When with the Holy Presence,

be at one with the secretive or inner nature

of the Christ, for the Christ is all that is left

after the externality of the world disappears.

Leading His dedicated followers into prayer,

Jesus the Prophet commences to invoke

the Holy Presence of the Everlasting Father.

To that Spirit which is One in Heaven and in Earth, 

hallowed be Thy Saving Grace.

When You are with Us, the Righteousness

that is Heaven becomes the Excellence of the Spirit

that is Deeply Embodied in the Earthen Bodies of Men and Women.

Give Us only Your Holy Presence,

for that Triumph over Matter is the Daily Bread

of Our Collective Soul.

Forgive Us of Our misgivings towards You,

for You are the recipient of the good and bad alike

as We are the debtors of Our own strengths and weaknesses. 

Lead Us into the Purity of Love's Embrace

and Lead Us out of the valley of shadows.

Your Holy Presence is the Power

and the Glory of the Resurrected Christ.

Amen

Compassionately concerned about the welfare of Humanity,

Forgiveness is the key to ending the cycle of pessimism 

and slothfulness that is characteristic of a proud mind.

Caring for others as your Collective Soul,

your Everlasting Father will Exalt you

with the Power of a Soft Heart.

Inquisitive over whether or not to

lay a strong foundation of wealth

in this world, one of His dedicated followers

decides to pose a question to the Righteous Son of God.

Of what use are the trappings of external accomplishments

to the Seeker on the Path?

Jesus the Prophet, in response, laid down

the following maxims of God-Realization.

What is of this Earth shall stay on this Earth

indefinitely, whereas what is of the Kingdom of God

is Eternal from the Moment of Its Conception.

Those who are fool-hearty chase after the fools gold

of social status and other egotistical rewards.

But I say unto you, when the influence of time

makes holes out of your accomplishments

and the robbers of your pride take away all that

you have earned through being worldly-minded,

My Holy Grail is as if It never Existed.

Focusing all of your efforts on something

other than Me and the Everlasting Father,

re-start from where you are currently situated

and be the Righteous Son of God that you are

meant to be by making your Eye Single and your Body Full of Light.

Seek First the Kingdom of God

and all that is invested in Me

will be invested in you now and forevermore.
