Ch.11 - Dualistic Faith

Arising each day

with an infirm and unstable

realization of Me,

the dualistic faith of a dualistic mind

diminishes the Transcendental Life-Force

of many living souls who are desirous

of Me nonetheless.

Approaching Me with hatred and contempt

in the form of faithlessness,

those who want Me without truly wanting Me

are as if dead to the Greater Reality within Themselves.

Begging for all sorts of displays of wonderful feats,

My Superior Energies are laid to waste

on living souls who have no real appreciation

for Me and My Strongly Faith-Driven Devotees.

Carefully receive this discourse on mixed

devotional service, o Arjuna,

and you shall be freed from the mistakes of the past.

Wanting to obtain the powers of a Siddha

and the love of My World,

yogis who go against My Supreme Directions

chase after that which is of little value

to the Soul within their Souls.

Glamorized and covered over by the fortune

and honor that is easily given

to the well-known deceivers of civilized society,

lifetimes are spent

in utter obscurity and in mining their hearts for fools gold.

Uttering praises to My Saintly Devotees,

those who gloriously show off

their skills and expertise

in interpreting My Scriptures

sacrifice their false egos for their false egos.

Only giving their faith

when giving faith is seen as charitable

or profitable,

the faithless worship Me with crooked intentions.

Rectifying their past misdeeds

through publicly performing

various austerities

that aims to please their sense of entitlement,

no lasting progress shall be made

for everything is done out of envy of My Spiritual Nature.

Cooled off by the warming influences of My Mind,

atheistic tendencies are dissolved

into an Ocean of Bliss

and the weakness that is brought about

by individual pride is exchanged

for something that is much Higher

than any of the cash prizes of this World.

Flying with the Impenetrable Wings of Faith,

My Devotees are as if devoid 

of all good and bad qualities.

Duality has no reign in their Hearts,

for I Am Fully Within

that Most Sacred of Spaces.

Having no other shelter but My Lotus Feet,

all that which is of a disturbing tendency

is automatically turned into something Memorable To Me.

Receiving a Dose of Transcendental Medicine

in the Form of Devotion,

the Selfless Return into My Selfless Consciousness.

Always ready for the Next Advancement in God-Realization,

Arjuna prostrates before the Powerful Presence of Faith

that Is Bhagavan Sri Krishna.
