Confronted with the manifold sufferings
of countless living beings,
I courageously lay to rest my desire
to continue desiring.
Desiring what cannot be attained
or what can easily be attained,
it is better to remain free
of the impulsive scratch
of wanting to be something other
than what one is.
Clearly perceiving no end
to the cyclical turnings of
the wheel of one's desire-ridden mind,
renounce the realm of Buddhahood
along with the realm of ordinary conditioning.
Finding no peace in being
of a superior or inferior nature,
take refuge in the emptiness of the Great Perfection.
Living outside of the perfections
of scriptural living and monetary relief,
follow the path of the desireless nature of being.
Looking for a self to hold onto
and steadily identify with,
who are you beyond the tireless dictations
of one's infinitesimal mind?
Will you remain whole even if you feel
yourself to be fragmented?
Will you voluntarily not become
a Buddha in order to become one?
Is there a fee or price to pay
in order to be happy
without the miserable companions of self and other?
Considering who one is,
stop considering who one is.
If you are looking for yourself,
you will never find yourself
for while being desirous
of something, a someone will always be formed.
Forming one's sense of self
through one's desiring senses,
apply the wisdom of being free
of having to be a being.
Hungry for the ghosts
of one's past encounters with past selves,
no longer listen to the worries
of not having this self or not having that self.
Burned by the demons of greed
and excessive attachments to
how great or little one thinks one is,
expand one's mind beyond the material universe
and realize the emptiness of one's entire projected creation.
Past lives and future lives means nothing
to one who is at peace with
the essential nature of the Great Perfection.
Roaming about the mandala of this world,
feasting on one desire after another,
give up one's animalistic tendencies
to separate every self into an object of pursual.
Reaching the stage of humanistic compassion
and belittling those who are
non-dualistically realized from within
with the thoughts of having to be charitable
and worldly wise, go beyond one's desire
to be someone for others.
Enjoying the ecstasies of those
who are like demi-gods,
see through the shallowness
of their time-driven minds.
Seeking nothing but instant gratification
and instant enlightenment,
the Buddhas of Infinity laugh
at their feeble attempts to be above
other being in their realizations and internal wealth.
Atop of the world and the wheel of one's mind,
the Great Perfection flies above one's head,
making one into a Buddha.
Resisting the call of the Celestial Bodhisattvas,
pay no attention to the desire
to be retain an exclusive access to
the higher levels of enlightenment.
Taking all that one has become
and turning oneself into a perfected being,
follow the path of desirelessness
and allow others to be Buddhas and Bodhisattvas
without being Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Tracing the diagram of one's heart
across the Universe of Infinite Emptiness,
do not be afraid of what lies ahead
of the desires of an Awakened One.
Transcending transcendence,
open up to the Great Perfection
of one's Lightning Fast Mind.
Broadly surveying all that exists,
broadly be the Consciousness of Desirelessness.
