As I have mentioned in other places, there is a stage you will reach on your Spiritual path where life no longer becomes a struggle. This occurs when your consciousness is so merged with your personal power, self-mastery, unconditional love, Spiritual and psychological wisdom, integration and balance of the Seven Rays, self-love, Golden Bubble of Protection, Spiritual / Christ / Buddha Consciousness, being a cause of your own reality, having preferences rather than attachments, looking at things as Spiritual tests and lessons, acceptance, surrender, and and your mind is so steady in the light that you will have reprogrammed your subconscious mind and balanced your four bodies and three minds.

When this fundamental transcendence of negative ego / fear-based / separative / dualistic / illusionary / selfish / lower-self thinking and feeling has occurred, life is no longer a struggle. In truth, “it never was a struggle, you just thought it was!” It was your negative ego thinking that made it a struggle. Your consciousness was battling life instead of working with life and learning from life. The only true struggle is not really with life; it is with mastering self! When self is mastered, life no longer becomes a struggle either. This is a most wonderful state of consciousness to be in. There may be occasional slight slips or unconscious mistakes. However, they are quickly attitudinally adjusted and there is a fundamental steadiness, even-mindedness, inner peace, unceasing joy and, of course, unconditional love that one just continually stays in.

However, what must be understood is that there is a process to get to this point! The process is the movement from child to adult. The movement from victim consciousness to Master consciousness. As children we are run by our mind, emotions, physical body, desire body, inner child, and negative ego. The process of Spiritual evolution to become a Spiritual Master is to reverse this. To do this we must undo all the mass consciousness programming! We must get in complete control of the subconscious mind and not let it run us, and instead we must become the total programmer of it.

So there is a phase of the Spiritual path, in all disciples, initiates and Masters, of the “Battle of Armageddon” waging within the seeker of God. This is good and appropriate! This is why Krishna said to Arjuna in the Bhagavad-Gita, “Give up this unmanliness and self-pity and get up and fight!” It is why Paramahansa Yogananda said, “Life is a battlefield!” It is why Western esoteric literature refers to the “Battle of Armageddon” so often. There is the Battle of Armageddon in the cosmos and the Battle of Armageddon in each of us.

On a personal level, it is the battle between the lower self and the higher self. The battle between truth and illusion. The battle between the Sons of Belial and the Law of One. The battle between fear and love. The battle between positivity and negativity. The battle between separation and oneness. The battle between God and ego. The battle between the forces of light and the forces of darkness. The outer battle that is talked about is just a reflection of this personal battle that every seeker of truth must fight and must win. Each person must master the dweller on the threshold. The dweller on the threshold is the conglomeration of glamour, maya, and illusion within self. In essence, as Sai Baba has so eloquently stated, “God equals man minus ego!” We each must win the battle over our negative ego / fear-based / separative / dualistic / illusionary / selfish / lower-self thinking and feeling. We must become Spiritually victorious in this battle! It does not happen in one day, it is a process!

However, there is a psychological law that it only takes 21 days to cement any new habit into the subconscious mind. So in the initial stages of the Spiritual path, there is a battle that is going on whether people want to believe it or not. I am not saying it has to last a long time, for it doesn’t. This is up to you! It is not hard to win this battle if you are given the training. This has been the key problem. Most people have been battling and struggling their whole lives, not because they have to, but because not very many people really understand on a very deep level, the in-depth laws and tools that govern Spiritual psychology!
